Hotel Montebello Splendid – Firenze

We looked for a hotel for one night near train station. What a beautiful hotel. 10 min walk easy from there. We were able to walk to river, duomo, and market. Had dinner at a great little restaurant. (See previous review). Paid for buffet breakfast. It was okay. Felt bad for super busy hard working waitress (blond pony tail). So many tables by herself but somehow she managed. Love the later checkout. Staff all friendly and accomodating.

This hotel was FANTASTIC! Could not recommend more. It is luxurious without being pretentious. The decor is a beautiful mix of classic renovation, with a modern twist. Staff was extremely warn and very helpful. Rooms were spacious and great bathrooms. The shower was amazing after a couple of weeks of traveling and staying at various other hotels. Was our last 2 nights and we could not have been happier with this hotel. We will be back!
