There’s not a soulless magnetic card to be found among the hotel’s 34 keys – you’ll be given a real one just like the good old days. Hotel Lou Pinet’s rooms and suites are like the rooms of a beautiful Saint-Tropez house that you would share with friends.

My wife and I came to the French Riveria and this was our first stop. From the moment we got there, the staff met and exceeded our expectations. We were already late for lunch reservations when were checking in and did everything they could to help us out from calling a taxi for us to expediting our check-in. The grounds and buildings were great as well as the breakfast buffet. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

I find it very hard to believe that this is considered a 5 star hotel. The property itself is lovely and it's well located, the customer service is some of the worst I've ever had in my life. Let me start by saying that my husband is Parisian and I'm from Quebec, so there was nothing "lost in translation". 1- We left the room at 8 am to grab breakfast in the main area. When I looked towards our room, the cleaning person was already inside, using his supplies to prop the door wide open. I went down to ask him to come back later or shut the door, but he did not speak english or french so we were not able to communicate. I asked the staff at the front desk for a DND sign, but no one ever gave it to me. Yes, we use the safe, but normally the staff shuts and locks the door when cleaning. 2- We had booked a sitter for one of the evenings so my husband and I could go out, but I accidentally put it into my calendar in the wrong time zone. We got back to the hotel from dinner and the concierge charged towards me, asking if it was me who hired a sitter and rudely barked that she had been waiting 45 minutes. I apologized, explained that I thought it was for the following evening and offered to pay the sitter for the full 4 hours we had booked. Mistakes happen, but the concierge was incredibly rude, rolled her eyes and made us feel as though we had committed a massive crime. 3- One of the days we stayed there, we decided to spend the afternoon by the pool relaxing. What we were met with was a team of 8 workmen setting up for an event. In the process of putting up a HUGE tent they were banging, throwing ropes in the pool, yelling at each other and making what should have been a relaxing afternoon extremely disruptive. Any hotel, even a 3 star, would have warned their guests about an inconvenience like this, shut down the area that was being impacted and offered them some sort of free drink for their troubles. When I went to ask about the length of time they would be there, I was told they had no idea and it would take as long as was necessary. 4- We sent in a bit of laundry the day we got there, calling down to make sure we could do an express service and get it back the next day. They assured us it would not be a problem. The next day, we had no laundry ready when we got back to the hotel. I called the front desk and they told me it would have to wait until the following day. When I explained that we were checking out they said they would put it in the mail and send it to us. I had no choice, so my husband was down to 1 pair of shorts for the rest of the trip. They did not offer to replace them or help us find a new pair, they just said their hands were tied and it was not possible to receive them in time. I finally agreed (no choice) but insisted they send the items via DHL as the postal service in France is notoriously unreliable. When we got home, the package had arrived with the WRONG CLOTHES inside it. I immediately called the hotel and explained the situation, but instead of hearing "I'm sorry let me look into this ASAP" I was told that the laundry company never makes mistakes and I should check again. We are talking about 2 items, I think I remember what clothes I own. They finally called the laundry company, called me back and said "oh yes they have been trying to figure out whose clothes those are for a week". So if you're reading this and missing your clothes, we have them. Today I got an email saying that the items had been sent out by the french post, without tracking. At this point the chances of me receiving my clothes before 2023 are slim to none. To me, these are all simple issues that could easily have been fixed with the right customer experience training. If you are going to charge $800+ a night, you need to make sure that your staff is offering an experience that matches that price point. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Just returned from a wonderful few days at the beautiful hotel Lou Pinet in St Tropez where we we were looked after exceptionally well. The staff at this hotel were charming and went out of their way to ensure guests had a wonderful stay. Everyone was super helpful and friendly and in particular the front of house team and Melody the concierge were exceptional. Our room was very spacious with a wonderful patio and garden and a wonderful view of the pool and beautifully kept gardens, The hotel is very close to town and the hotel provide a Mercedes’ shuttle service to and from town which was so useful after a day’s shopping or dinner out. Food was very good, especially the truffle fries! Can’t wait to return! Lorraine
