I did quite a bit of research on deciding where to stay on this short business trip to Monaco. I use the Trip Advisor website extensively to get a general consensus of focusing my priorities, after reading several reviews and look at rankings. Booked this room on AMEX Fine Hotels website. With that comes many additional perks. Hotel Hermitage was one of 4 options available and the offer was too good to pass up. Being off season, there was plenty of availability at great daily rates. To say that this hotel crossed ALL the T's and dotted ALL the "I's" is an understatement. Since this was my first trip to the South of France and Monaco, Weeks before arriving, I contacted the concierge with our "wish list" of restaurants and looked for recommendations. Not only were they response, but offered many, many options. Unfortunately during off-season, many dining establishments were closed, but we were able to secure several exceptional tables. The constant email replies and attention by three of the pros specifically were Julien, Fedor and Theresa. Thank you to such a professional team. With respect to the property, I would put this one up as Best In Class, Best In the World. I've been fortunate to have stayed at many unbelievable hotels around the world, and this one is right up there. From the minute I arrived, to the minute I left - I was just in awe of how perfectly they run this historic palace in the center of beautiful Monaco. The service (10+,) the food we relished (10+), the timeliness of the housekeeping team (10+), the Thermes Spa/Health Club (10+), The Cleanliness (10+) and the Attention to Detail (a Big 10+). Thank you to Mr. Louis Starck, General Manager of this property for curating an amazing team of absolute professionals in every department and on every level. And I will not forget what you told me when we left. "You know when you have done a great job, is when you can take a few personal days off, and the place runs like clockwork." That is what a good leader does. Congratulations to you Mr. Louis Stark. I look forward to my next visit to your hospitality masterpiece. A 10 out of 10. Best In Class, Best in The World.

Quentin from guest services is such a wonderful and kind person, always ready to assist and go above and beyond to exceed guest satisfaction. A true star and Hotel Hermitage should be very proud on such a wonderful employee. From bellboys to front desk, housekeeping everyone was superb and did their best during our one week stay. Even though the breakfast area at moments was super busy this time all seems to work great and we were greeted by best waiters! Room service as always best in the world ( we have never encountered such great team in any other hotel). Both hairdresser and Myriam were super great and we love Thermes Team! Hotel Hermitage is best in Monaco and its all about the people! See you in April

I was unable to attend due to my wife contracting pneumonia and called the hotel to rearrange. They said that as they had a 7 day cancellation policy I would have to pay €3440 and then maybe I could have a credit. I asked them if I could book later in the year and if they would not charge my Amex card given the large sum. They took the money anyway and after me sending several emails requesting an answer towards what they mean re credit and future booking they have not answered. I have booked at the Maybourne and other top hotels on this trip and all were fantastic and wished my wife well and did not charge. This hotel is telling me they just like to grab money when they can. I have asked for the General Manager to contact me. But nothing yet. Please be aware when booking this hotel. If you cancel your stay even in an emergency they will take all the money for your booked nights.
