We had a lovely stay at GF Victoria during February half term, our six year old absolutely loved it, as did we. The service was excellent in all areas of the hotel and the facilities for children are superb with plenty to keep them occupied, we only used the mini club once as my son wasn’t keen unfortunately (wasn’t active enough for him on the session he tried and I couldn’t convince him to go back unfortunately!) he did however have a great time making friends at the multi purpose court playing football and at the tennis court. My one negative with the kids club is that the cinema night is only on once per week and ridiculously late, staring at 21:15?! At most other hotels we’ve stayed at the cinema is on most nights and starts at 7pm, this would be a welcome change as the other parents we spoke to agreed it was far too late. The hotel is ideally situated so you’re just a short 5 min walk to the beach and local restaurants etc And it’s opposite a shopping centre and just down the road from the touristy market which is on twice a week. The splash park on Level 5 is very good but our son was just a tad short for the big slides unfortunately as you need to be 1.2m. There are parts of the hotel that overlooks one of the outdoor stages, but if you usually go to the entertainment in the evenings or stay out until 10ish then it wont effect you and the entertainment isn’t always on the same stage, there are other venues around the hotel including a conference centre for the bigger shows, but if you or your kids go to bed early and are light sleepers then you might be better off requesting a quieter room. We opted for B&B and thought the breakfast was great, it would have been good to have a mid priced restaurant on site for dinner but there were enough places to eat close by so it wasn’t a problem. The food served by the pool was overpriced (calamari was €22!) so that was disappointing but overall a great hotel and we would return.

We visit Adeje on a regular basis, however this was our first visit to this hotel. Generally, we had a nice stay here, just one issue that tainted the stay, which I will comment upon in my review. LONGISH REVIEW. RECEPTION - On arrival this hotel is impressive to look at, it’s modern, with a big foyer area, so big that they managed to fit a bar on the same floor (we didn’t use this bar). Check in was good, staff polite, welcoming and provided all relevant information. We were escorted up to our room and shown around the suite. All the rooms have a pool view, plenty of space within the suite, two bathrooms which is great if you have children. For us, it was like having a his and hers bathroom, perfect!! Pool towels are waiting for you in the room inside a beach/pool bag, you can change for clean ones daily. We have stayed in other hotels that offer this facility which I think is a nice touch. Plenty of bathroom amenities, which are regularly topped up. I think the odd time we had to request them. Housekeeping daily, which meant the rooms were kept clean. POOL AREA-cleaned daily. Plenty of sun loungers, unsure how busy this hotel is during peak times, but we never at any point struggled to find a sun lounger around the pool. The odd guest would sadly deem it necessary to go down before breakfast and place a towel on the lounger they wanted and leave it there, sometimes for hours before they used the bed. Nevertheless, there were still plenty to choose from. There is also a bar there for drinks, snacks etc. There is a ‘Adult’ I use the term lightly as it is more of a’ quiet’ pool, which tended to be used by adults, but the odd older child would use it too. There is also a substantial size children pool, which is great for families. There is also a small ‘Adults only’ pool on the top floor, which has lovely views, and you can enjoy and nice fresh cocktail from the bar. FOOD – we stayed BB, didn’t dine here in the evenings as we like to go to different restaurants. Breakfast has a good selection of food, F and B staff friendly and helpful. We found breakfast very noisy, I think this is due to it being a very child friendly hotel. Fortunately for us, they also cater for adults and have a ‘Adult Only’ area, which is great. My negative experience was due to a personal item of mine that consequently went missing from the room on our last day, we were leaving the following morning. I immediately notified the Reception Team and, as we had decided to add another week onto our break (we booked into a different hotel, nothing related to the missing item, we just wanted to try other hotel). I was told I would receive a courtesy call to be notified either way if the item turned up, or that for whatever reason they couldn’t locate it. During the next 7 days I popped into the hotel three times, each time to be told the same, I would be contacted. No one ever got back to me, no courtesy call, which I found to be poor customer service. I felt they were just giving me lip service each time I called in. The importance of this item was that it was bought for me as a gift, it had sentimental value rather than monetary value. However, I will say on the last day I called in, after speaking to at least 4 different staff on previous occasions, a lady named Monica came to speak to me. I believe she was Public/Guest Relations Manager. I had a totally different level of customer service. She dealt with the situation in way that you would expect a 5-star hotel to address a situation. Although my item was not found/returned and, albeit the item cannot be replaced based on sentimental value, I was refunded for the cost. It was only down to Monica’s professionalism and customer service that meant I left without feeling the incident had totally spoiled my stay. Would I now recommend this hotel, yes, would I stay her again, yes, I would like to try the hotel again hoping for a different experience. This is a lovely hotel, it’s great for families and ideal for couples too. Mistakes happen and I want to believe the item was ‘accidentally’ moved/taken. MONICA, I would like to thank you for your customer service, and this is certainly the customer service that would encourage me to return and try the hotel again.

We have recently returned from a fantastic week at the GF Victoria. We travelled as a family of 3. The hotel genuinely felt like a 5*, the staff are fantastic and the hotel is modern and clean. I'd recommend getting your bearings when you arrive as the hotel is very large and we kept discovering new things as the week progressed. Our daughter is 3 and the facilities are fantastic. She loved the water park on floor 5 and the kids club. The mini robe and colouring etc are a nice touch in your room on arrival. Be sure to book the kids club when you arrive if you want to leave your children there as it books up very quickly. Also note that if you are happy to stay at the kids club with your child, you can attend even if it says it is booked. We didn't realise that until later in the week. The mini disco is good fun but too late really for young children as it doesn't start until 8.30pm. Be great if there was an earlier one for the younger children. Food was excellent. We were half board. I think next time I'd book bed and breakfast so we can try other local restaurants. Overall we can't recommend this hotel highly enough and we will return.
