Hotel Exe Laietana Palace

This hotel is one the worst hotel we’ve been too. If I could I wouldn’t give any stars at all. We booked exe laiatana palace in Barcelona cause we were at the exe moncloa in madrid and it was a pretty hotel rooms were clean and very kind and helpful staff the only problem they had was the elevator but for the rest including breakfast was amazing good food so we hoped it would be the same since it’s 4* hotel chain, but it was the worst they shouldn’t even be in that chain of hotel cause it was the absolute worst. Wen we arrived at the exe Laietana palace The first thing we’ve noticed was how the entrance was so dark and it smelled bad as if it was an public toilet. But we’ve pretended like everything was ok. We checked in and when we went to our rooms (we’ve booked 3 rooms since we were in 6) The First room the window was broken so i couldnt really close it well and there were insects, The second room was the WOSRT! ABSOLUTE WORST! Inside the wardrobe there was a dripping wet Tshirt hidden underneath the bedsheets but that’s not even the worst part, the worst and disgusting part was that the toilet bowl had BLOOD drops dried BLOOD drops. With all the covid and the monkey pox (spain had the hightest rate july and august) and not only (HIV,AIDS ect ect.) that was disgusting and not hygienic and with all the clean a safe policies they have written in there website there was none of it in there. We’ve told it to receptionist and he wanted to check it by himself, he was disgusted by the wet dripping T-shirt anyways picked it up with no gloves and scraped of the blood drops in the toilets bowl with a tissue🤮 and bought with him the wet dripping tshirt in the rooms to check out the other problems Touching it with the same hand which he was hold the tshirt. Wen we went back to the recepition and he said he finished his work shift and pass all the thing happing to his colleague. She was even ruder she said that weren’t any serious issues and if it was her she would clean the blood with tissue and take a sit herself. They didn’t help us find another hotel and scolding us in Spanish thinking we didn’t kno any Spanish at all saying we were the worst clients. Meanwhile 6 more Clientes came in to complain about there rooms them selves. I was disgusted by this hotel sinces we booked months ago and paid a lot of money and plus with a rude staff. Think twice if you have to book this hotel.

We have booked a room at this hotel when returning from our vacation at the sea, to visit Barcelona for one day, before our departure. For what we needed it, it was very good, very big and clean room, big bathroom, well equipped. we did not choose for breakfast as we chose to eat out (had a great breakfast right at the corner of the street). Very good location, in walking distance to the Gothic part of the city. One issue we had though with the room, the seif was broken so we had to leave our belongings at the reception desk, while gone. All in all, a good one night stay.

I really disliked this hotel. Came in with my family 39 mins check in and it was already paid. Room not ready and did sent check in time. Currently 3 hours here doing nothing super tired with my little 5 year old kid. I do not recommend this hotel
