The historic building, dating from the 16th century, was home to nobility and a refuge for kings. Restored in 1850 and converted into a high-class luxury hotel on 2003, the hotel preserves the buildings original spirit in the restaurant and public areas, while blending this style with an avant-garde décor in the 63 guest-rooms and meeting rooms. This luxury hotel enjoys Mediterranean sun on the extensive solarium terrace.

Home away from home..but with a better view
This was one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in. The staff were all so helpful and friendly, and the atmosphere at the hotel was both professional and joyful. The rooftop pool and bar has a spectacular view over Port Vell. The ground level has a very social restaurant and bar with a piano, live music evenings, and on one occasion a fun cocktail making class. The people running the hotel truly care about each and every guest. The manager, Victor, and assistant manager, Enrico, make you feel like long lost friends every time you walk in the front door. A lovely breakfast buffet is served in a beautiful double height dining room, and the charming Ivelca makes every guest there feel like the most important person in the hotel. We cannot thank the whole team at Duquesa de Cardona enough for making our few days in Barcelona so special.

Amazing, as always!
We’ve been lucky enough to stay at the Duquesa a few times and it’s always a total joy. Everything is of such a high standard but the thing that makes the biggest difference are the wonderful people - warm, welcoming and super efficient.

Barcelona Trip 10-14 February
Myself and my partner had a wonderful stay at the Duquesa de Cardona. All staff have been extremely accommodating and friendly, upon arrival we were given a free room upgrade, and for my girlfriends birthday they gifted a complimentary bottle of Champaign. The room was cleaned daily, cocktail masterclass, amazing breakfast and the staff recommended great activities for our stay. We can not recommend this hotel more and we look forward to staying again towards the end of the year. Alfie and Lil
