In the heart of the history of Barcelona, overlooking the port and just a few minutes’ walk to the beach, our luxury hotel is in a superb location for the traveller who discovers the secrets of one of the most charismatic cities of the Mediterranean.
The historic building, dating from the 16th century, was home to nobility and a refuge for kings. Restored in 1850 and converted into a high-class luxury hotel on 2003, the hotel preserves the buildings original spirit in the restaurant and public areas, while blending this style with an avant-garde décor in the 63 guest-rooms and meeting rooms. This luxury hotel enjoys Mediterranean sun on the extensive solarium terrace.

This hotel exceeded our expectations! The staff is so friendly and helpful! Staff member Reuben was a special treat. Remembered our outings and asked about them when we returned. Rooms very clean and best views of the port from the rooftop bar.
Faultless! The room, location, breakfast and staff were all exceptional! Special mention to Bea and her colleague, whose food recommendations were spot on! Free water every day, nice and quiet rooms, very high standard of cleaning in the rooms too, such a brilliant hotel.
We spent 6 great days at the Hotel Duquesa de Cardona from late Dec to early Jan. We loved our stay and would love to come back for another visit. Some of our favorite aspects of the hotel: First and foremost, the staff. Everyone we encountered there was incredibly nice, proactively helpful and made our stay feel special. We want to particularly call out Ruben, Enrico and Erku - you guys really made our stay great - as well as the house cleaning staff, who managed to make our room spotless every day even though we kept some really odd hours (hello jetlag and a late New Year's Eve). Everyone we encountered there was great. Location - we didn't know too much about Barcelona before we arrived, but we are so thankful to have stayed where we did. Wandering the streets of the Gothic Quarter was one of the highlights of our trip, and we were an easy metro ride from just about everything else on our agenda. The room - sometimes rooms in Europe can feel a bit small compared to hotels in America, but our room felt spacious and easily accommodated 2 adults and a teenager, no problem. The rooftop bar - Nothing like being able to sip drinks, eat tapas and stare out at the lights and the Ferris Wheel across the way at the pier. Not to mention having a great view of fireworks on New Year's Eve. We rarely plan to return places - there's always something new to see! - but on the taxi ride to the airport we were already plotting a return trip.
