Fabulous cove and sunbathing area
We had a lovely time here. The small cove, pool area is excellent and this is what makes the hotel. Price for the room was fair. Room was decent. Staff were very friendly. A little slow to serve around the pool area. Having the Audi Q8 car for a day for free was a lovely touch. Food was excellent and breakfast was really good. The even had our favourite champagne, Moet Ice, so that won me over lol. The one big negative is that there are not enough loungers to sunbathe on. If you don’t get down very early, you will struggle to get four beds together.

What are you waiting for...THE place to be!
This was our first time to Mallorca and first time at a Gran Melia. We decided to treat ourself to a nice birthday trip and hit the jackpot with this resort. From arrival to departure, the tour of the grounds, the bartenders....every person we encountered was friendly, warm and extremely helpful. They even delivered a slice of cake and cava to our hotel room. It was incredibly sweet and thoughtful. The poolside bar and team there was incredibly open to suggestions of where to visit and making sure our drinks were refilled. Shout out to Junior, Francisco, Moses, Martin, Guillermo, Javier, Antonella, Almudena (front desk), and Paula and Anna (spa)!! If you want 10/10 resort accommodations with an amazing view and phenomenal staff, stay at the Hotel de Mar Gran Melia. We hope to be back soon!

It’s Melia standard but tired
Our third time here so it’s a done ….melia service cleanliness and attention to details is excellent would I stay at a melia yes because of this …..this particular melia as fabulous outside space spotless well manicured gardens etc and especially when the sun shines great snack restaurant and fabulous bonbom especially for fish the buffet breakfast also is excellent ……now red level ….done this both ways and definitely not worth the extra cost ….this should be good but it doesn’t work ….the hotel definitely as a return clientele this can be good if they don’t lord it up and unfortunely there was a bit of that …I like discreet 🫣.sunbeds were taken from 8am and not used until 12 on some areas that was annoying and common practice ….the hotel is definitely tired and in need of refurb ….
