Beautiful building, great/lively area, perfectly central location but ... so loud we couldn't sleep. Seriously, we've both traveled the world and I've never encountered anything like this. It was so loud, outside on the street below, windows open or not, we couldn't sleep. And we were on the 4th floor, I believe out of 5. Can't imagine what it would have been like on the second or third floor. That said, the building was really nice and staff really helpful. Other head scratching things ... hardly any place to put clothes, for two people. Weird. Nightstands that we tiny. Suggestion ... please put dressers in so if you're staying for more than one night and traveling with a companion, or kids, you have some place to put your clothes other than bunched around the safe in the closet or having to put extra linens/blankets on the floor so clothes can be put it. Lastly, we are pretty self sufficient travels but this is hospitality industry isn't it? For weeks I mentioned, "we're coming to Paris to celebrate my wife's birthday." "Anything you can do to make it more special Id really appreciate it." Nothing. Sigh. Don't mean to be critical but hopefully this constructive criticism helps make the hotel what it can be. But currently, definitely not 5 stars. Our mistake.
Gorgeous hotel, lovely room and marble bathroom, fantastic staff - courteous, efficient, professional, attentive. Great lounge areas - warm, atmospheric. Historical and comfortable architecture. Superb location, minutes from the Seine. Five star throughout.
Hotel was clean, comfortable, and wonderfully located. The staff was phenomenal and beyond accommodating. My wife and I stayed for a total of five nights and would recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Paris.
