Hotel Colon is good but not great.
The hotel lobby/restaurant is very nice. the front desk staff were hit or miss; some great some a bit snotty. the rooms are not air conditioned in February. I have asthma so i always need AC. this was not specified on the web site. we had to ask for a fan but luckily it was cool at night so we had to sleep with the balcony door open and the fan blowing. This was not great. Our room was an upgrade room with Cathedral views which was fabulous but it was on the pedestrian square with bars and restaurants so pretty loud the first night. The room was smaller than expected for the cost. The hotel did not have a bar area that you could sit at and have a drink. the rooftop terrace was cramped and the service was spotty. i think they were very understaffed. also, there was always a wait; hotel guests should have first preference. The food was excellent in the restaurant. and the location could not be better.

Horrible Service Stench in rooms.
This was the worst experience. DO NOT STAY HERE. I booked a premium room. I could not stay in it due to the horrible odor from plumbing? Sewage? They asked me to pay up front. Would not adjust. Stuck!

Great hotel in Gothic Quarter!
Great hotel in great location! Centrally located in the Gothic Quarter. Service was impeccable! Rooms were comfortable, shower nice with good water pressure. Breakfast was good, but everything was lukewarm. Loved the mimosas and sneaky good chocolate covered donuts! We especially loved the rooftop bar overlooking the cathedral! Try to book way ahead of time, rooms get more expensive the closer you get to your travel dates.
