We visited this hotel on a tour package - in general all right as tour package hotels go. The service was good, breakfast and dinner were both alright meaning there was decent and adequate food for everyone without a long wait. While we had a good size room we understand that room size varies dramatically - be careful of this. The rooms were clean though the view was a brick wall. Bathrooms were clean but tiny. The location was right across the train station over a very crowded bridge - note if you have large luggage.

The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, and the hotel is nicely located close to the train station. however, the interior could use a refresh and the rooms are quite dated and could definitely use a remodel. Given that it was Carnival season, the prices were quite high. As such my expectations were higher as well. While the rooms themselves were traditionally decorated, for our room there were a few areas that stood out: - There was ample closet space for our clothes and bags. - The bed itself was comfortable, although they should provide larger blankets. The bed was covered in two smaller blankets to cover the entirety of a queen bed. - The bathroom had all the necessary amenities and the shampoo/conditioner/soap was nice. - The bathroom was very dates. The shower was a shower/bathtub combo and was very difficult to get into and out of. I would have much preferred just a shower that is easy to walk into. - The tiles and components of the bathroom were very dated and would use updating. Positives - Friendly staff - Clean - Close to train station Negatives - Far from the big tourist attractions (St. Mark's Square; Rialto Bridge) - Rooms are dated (especially the bathroom) - Still use traditional keys instead of electronic keycards for access to rooms All things considered, it's a good hotel that served the purpose. We weren't in Venice to spend a lot of time in the hotel so for us it worked out fine. But I wouldn't consider it a 4-star hotel by any means when compared to other Western European hotels.

It is understatement to say that this was THE WORST EVER hotel that I stayed at. I travelled 55 countries by now and stayed in hundreds of hotels but this one was simply shocking. We booked triple room and we got double with extra bed, very small one that you could not properly turn. Mattresses were obviously 50 years old same as blankets that looked like 1st World war surpluses. Bathroom hardly clean as I saw someone else's hair in the shower. Bathroom door was all peeled off so it just look terrible. When I complained about room they just said this is what they have. By what magic this is listed as 4* hotel I really would like to know. Again, I have been to 55 countries but this is by far the worst hotel ever. Now, let's talk about customer service: since I booked this hotel 9 months ahead of time and by mistake I booked it as non refundable rate, after so many attempts to change that (Giovanna) they simply refused to do it, even when later on my flight was cancelled and it was very inconvenient for us to stay there they just could not care less, they wanted our money at any cost. They also used very harsh language in the communication so you really have feeling that this "hotel" belong to some very shady organization. Whole customer service staff need to training from very basic. Not to mention that all front desk staff is old and looked uninterested in what they are doing. Another shocking fact is that aparently there is time of the year when this very room goes at 500 euros/night, seriously!?!?? STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK here.
