Hotel Best Jacaranda

Our 3rd time in Tenerife and stay at the Jacaranda. Fits in well with our requirements although had considered a change. Can’t believe some of the negative comments. Very big busy restaurant but with big window of time, does get busy around 8pm. Waiters work very hard to cater for guests. Rooms very clean and tidy. Free, Fridge Kettle and Safe. My only complaint on this occasion was the location of a designated smoking area, near the pool close to our room. Although looking at the signage guests were sitting in the no-smoking part. Plenty of room in the piano bar with varied entertainment. Sophia looked after our check in requirements

Check in was all ok, but we did notice that there was no hotel Trip Advisor or Holiday Check Awards displayed in reception. Room was basic. On entering we could not believe that the bathroom door was glass and offered no privacy, no lock and the ill fitting hinges pulled the door into the open position. Bed linen was only changed after 8 days upon our specific request. Food was of very low quality and only luke warm, in some cases meats and fish were still raw. Every evening there was vegetable soup which never tasted the same twice. We were shown to our table which had a dirty glass and some cutlery left from the previous occupant. The waitress did not wipe the table but removed the dirty glass and added cutlery to what had been left behind. She was not happy when we requested clean cutlery. Meal times were totally chaotic. Ground Poolside snack bar had pigeons walking along the worktop which was not discouraged. Upper bar had very rude staff. The piano bar had low class entertainment, floor and dance floor side seats were taken up each night by the local dance club from outside the hotel which made paying guests having to sit towards the back of the room. The only good points were the waiter Cifor who was very friendly and worked very hard, and the central location. Needless to say we would definitely not recommend this hotel and would not return.

The LOWEST STANDARD 4* hotel I have ever experienced. I DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS "4*" hotel. The hotel does not properly show photos of the rooms... it mainly promotes photos of the exterior. Considering that you pay for the room, it is not very important. At breakfast you can taste unripe fruits and vegetables of the lowest quality. When you have eggs for breakfast, the shell in them is normal... The standard of the rooms is TRAGIC. Wet ceiling, ruined floor, strange STINK in the room, MOLD in the sink and shower. There wasn't even an iron in the room or just a paper and a pen, which is standard even for 3*. The biggest surprise... ANTS on the table in our room. Due to the rain, we had to walk on a DANGEROUS wet and slippery floor. We experienced all this after upgrading the room to a better one. I DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS "4*" hotel.
