Hotel Belo Isla Mujeres

The food, service and views were just what we needed. From check in Eisler and Mateo made us feel welcomed. Everyone was so attentive and helpful. Great group of people working here. Shout outs to Edgar, Hugo, Marco and Juan Carlos. Thank yall for an amazing stay.

On a spur of the moment we decided as a family to take a last minute trip, which we somehow decided on Isla Mujeres and booked lodging at the Hotel Beló. We were happily impressed with both the hotel and the island. Peaceful and accommodating. The staff at Hotel Beló is so welcoming, pleasant, polite as well as professional. This was one of top peaceful trips we have taken, and we are already talking about returning again next year!

After 20+ years going 2-3 times a year to Playa del Carmen, we decided to try Isla Mujeres , mainly because of the seaweed situation. We picked Hotel Belo all inclusive service. I was worried a little bit, since it is not one of the hotel chains with lots of restaurants and bars. But Belo is really nice ( we are still here, so hopefully it stays this way :) We arrived two days ago ( still here). Check in was very quick, we were greeted with a welcome drink and the front desk staff explained everything we needed to know about our stay. They are really nice and friendly people. We received a bottle of champagne in the room as the Expedia VIP guest. The room is really nice, smaller , but everything you need is in the room. It seems to be renovated recently. Bed and the bedding is very comfortable . It has a large balcony that overlooks the pool and the ocean. There is a minibar in the room, that has some soda stocked regularly. You get two bottles of water daily and two coffee capsules for the Nespresso coffee machine. Bathroom is pretty large, shower is separated from the toilet, which is nice. There is one restaurant that serves breakfast and late lunch and dinner. It is ala carte, plenty of food choices and food is really good. There is a snack bar for the lunch, offering pizza, burgers, nachos, etc. coffee is really, really good. They have 2 pools , one being a rooftop pool and both are great. It is a very relaxing and quiet place. Service is a top notch, everyone is so nice and friendly. If you don’t care much about beach and swimming in the sea, I would recommend this hotel 100%. Come and you won’t be disappointed. However, if swimming in the sea is important, like it is to me , don’t come. I wish I knew about the beach situation here. It is terrible, there so much grass on the bottom ( gross !!!)it is very shallow ,mushy bottom , swimming is impossible. I checked the beach at the surrounding beach bars and everywhere is the same. This is not hotel’s fault, of course. If the beach was different, this would become my favorite place in riviera Maya. If you want impeccable beach, go to Playa Norte. I wish hotel Belo were at the Playa Norte ! I gave them 4 stars only because of the beach.
