Clean hotel and spa. Friendly staff. Note: German style buffet breakfast. German patio. German tv. German pubs around. Important: Loud crowded area. Crowded beach. Single rooms facing night club that runs 24/7. If your plan is to get to know Mallorca’s culture and to relax at night, you should consider stay somewhere else in Cala Ratjada.

We had ordered a room for two people, but upon arrival we were told that we had only payed for one person. The clerk sitting behind the desk was extremely rude and we decided to stay four nights instead of the pre paid six. When we discovered that we didn't get a "pool and garden view" or the double bed (in stead two single beds) we decided to ask the aforementioned clerk why and he exploded and rudely asked if we should just cancel the whole stay if we didn't like what we got. I have never ever in my life had such bad service at a hotel and we both dread walking past the front office every day.

The Baveria Hotel is a nice hotel located backing onto the main street in Cala Ratjada. It is 100m from the sea and 200m from a small but pleasant beach or, in the other direction, 200m from a small harbour. Bars and restaurants are all around the hotel and the 'Nightclub/Discos' are less than 100m away. The reception area has a well presented old Spanish feel to it but the rooms are very modern. Reception staff were very welcoming. We stayed for one night in a Superior Room. The rooms are small but sufficient, comfortable and nicely modernised with Aircon and free WIFI. There is a TV with satellite channels (inc BBC) Beds are comfortable and the bathroom is spacious and well fitted out. The balcony is also small but, again, sufficient. There is a medium sized outside pool with a few sunbeds (I wouldn't have thought enough for a full hotel but was not busy when we were there). The pool overlooks a very pleasant courtyard which has tables and chairs for food and drinks from the Hotels bar which is also open to the main street. Rooms have various views. Many overlook the courtyard and/or the pool (some opening up to a glass panel surrounding it), the other side of which is the main road which you couldn't hear when we stayed. Rooms on the other side of the hotel overlook a back street and buildings that are only 20ft away. We struggled to find this hotel as it doesn't look like a hotel from the main street. All you see is a bar and a small (pretty) archway next to it for pedestrian access to the hotel. The hotel was also not known by my Satnav but I assume that is because it has recently been renamed. The main entrance is where I would call the back of the hotel so persevere and you will find it. All in all, a good place to stay in Cala Ratjada. Tip, for some lovely restaurants serving great food, head in the direction of the harbour and along the promenade!
