Hotel Colonial Barcelona

A very comfortable hotel in a prime location. I loved being able to walk to everything I needed. Only taxi you need is to and from the airport. Very clean hotel, and the wifi was perfect to work Only issue we had was our keycards constantly deactivated, so many trips to front desk

We arrived mid-morning after finishing a cruise and were just expecting to be able to drop off our luggage. However we were very impressed by the receptionist who immediately offered us a room that he already had ready. He explained that it was on the ground floor so we could wait until another room was available. We decided to take this room as it made a difference to us to be able to relax and freshen up before going sightseeing. All through our stay the staff could not have been more friendly or helpful, answering our various queries and making excellent recommendations for local restaurants. The room was on the ground floor so didn’t have a view but was beautifully appointed and very comfortable. The buffet breakfast was excellent, offering a great variety of fruit, breads, pastries and cooked food it was also kept well topped-up. The hotel is in a great location, close to the Gothic quarter and in easy walking distance of many of the sites. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a hotel in Barcelona.

We stayed at Hotel Colonial Barcelona for two nights and would like to recommend the hotel. Pleasent and serviceminded staff, solid breakfast menu and many locations within walking distance. Nice, clean room (with view into the backyard and glimpse of the sky)
