Hotel was clean and has great facilities. They’ve made improvements in the winter and these are all good additional and refurbs. Room was spacious and cleaner were exceptional! Breakfast is good and plentiful as ever and the bar is good for a chilled drink in the evening

I stayed here for 10 days last August with my husband and son (aged 10 at the time). First of all, the rooms are pokey - our deluxe king room with a pool view was tiny and had a view of the steps NOT the pool. We stayed in it for 2 nights until a Junior Suite became available and this was much better - actually twice the size I would say. Breakfast was basic - very good fried eggs and banana pancakes, but all in all a poor selection compared to other breakfast buffets I've eaten at. Occasionally there was very long queue to get a table despite there being plenty of tables available. The staff there were all very nice and helpful. Swimming pools are decent sizes but absolutely freezing, and there are nowhere near enough sun loungers. There would also be guests reserving beds as early as 7am despite the signs saying this wasn't permitted. The restaurant by the pool was terrible. The worst staff - they didn't even greet you when you came in, just looked and then looked away! The food was average at best and expensive for what it was. And this was the only lunch option at the hotel. The gym is small and has no / very bad air conditioning but it was usually pretty empty so you could get on all the equipment. It's a 20 minute walk to the Marina or a short cab ride. The complimentary shuttle bus is fine however the queue would sometimes be pretty long so be prepared to wait. I would not stay here again and I would not recommend it - if we come back to Portugal we will stay at the Conrad or the Tivoli instead.

I stayed at this Hilton last year and really enjoyed it and couldn’t wait to return and enjoy more the facilities the hotel has to offer. We got a complimentary upgrade to a family suite that included 2 full bathrooms. This was amazing as this time I came with a friend, and we both had our own bathroom. Additionally, they left a nice present in the room. The room was clean, fresh and housekeeping made up the room while we were having breakfast. The breakfast was delicious, but especially the staff always friendly and happy to help. During this trip we also went to the bar, and the cocktails were truly amazing! Presentation & flavor wise! But I also have to mention the staff there were really nice. I wish I could remember all the names: Humberto (we also saw him at breakfast) Jose, Tiago, João. As well we would like to thank the young man at the Spa Reception. He recognized us from the day before and while he was checking in other guests, he quickly gave us our towels and wished us a great day, instead of doing the whole process again. That’s service! Unfortunately, I didn’t catch his name, but he was the only male we saw at the reception that weekend. Overall, I would recommend this Hilton. Great rooms, comfy beds, relaxing spa, great breakfast, but especially excellent staff! And this is why I keep staying at Hilton properties and I’m a proud gold member!
