Stayed at the Hilton rose hall, resort and spa. From February 26 through March 4 in Montego bay, Jamaica. Front desk was amazing our check-in gal. Her name was Althea she was amazing and very personable made you feel right at home the kitchen staff was great one of the cooks. Sylvester made excellent omelettes and very accommodating for your taste buds. our waitress during the day for breakfast and lunch was Melesiah Rooche if anyone was going to make you feel at home she did an amazing job. Made sure you had everything you wanted or needed for breakfast and lunch. Certainly very friendly. Awesome attitude made you feel like you were the only guest she had. Definitely a friend for life. Our evening, waitress was Shanakay she was amazing as well. if there was something you needed, she found. For example, we wanted a particular drink. Her station didn’t have it. She went above and beyond to locate it for us. she was very impressionable, considerate, knowledgeable and proficient in everything that she did. Our other evening waiter was Jason he filled in for us when Shanakay was off. He had big shoes to fill and did an amazing job.

My husband, our 2 teen sons and I just returned from a week at Hilton Rose Hall and it was truly wonderful! Here’s a list of pros/cons, but we really struggled to come up with any cons, so these are not serious drawbacks in anyway - I just wanted to give some balanced feedback should it be helpful. Pros: -The proximity of the resort to the airport. It was a nice relief to have such a short ride after a long day of travel. -The campus feel of the resort. I felt completely comfortable letting the boys go off to the lazy river on their own while I read a book on the beach. And it was great that they could eat when and where they wanted for lunch without having to find us or wait to go when we were hungry. -The cleanliness of the grounds, the pools, the restaurants and rooms -Food variety - there was something for everyone, even my picky eater -THE STAFF/Service - The friendliness, attentiveness, pridefulness, and sincerity of nearly EVERY single staff person we interacted with was TOP NOTCH! From beach rakers, to waitstaff and housekeeping. SUPURB staff. For any con we encountered, the service and attitudes of staff made up for it. And there was no shortage of staff so no long waits at reception/bars/reservation desks, towel stand, etc. Special shout out to our waitress Rochelle who worked breakfast at Moonstone and lunch at Mangoes! Kindest soul, warm personality and she anticipated needs before we even knew we had them. My youngest son wants to come back just to visit her :) Collin in the Rum Factory was also 5 star level attentive. - game area outside, teen room, nightly entertainment - lots to do for the kids and adults when needing a break from the sun and eating - beautiful golf course abutting the property (oldest son golfed twice at 2 different course and it was great). Cons: -getting up at 5am to reserve pool/beach chairs (we were prepared for this from our other island vacations, so not a big deal but a lot of people get irate about it and take it out (unfairly) on the staff) -Wi-Fi was terrible. The hotel slipped a notice under all guests’ doors saying it’d be restored/repaired but it never was. I found this to be a pro since I liked disconnecting from work/social media, etc.), but it made contacting our kids and friends difficult at times. -wait time for already booked dinner reservations was sometimes an hour after our reservation time. Sometimes we weren’t seated until 9pm. We cancelled a couple reservations for this reason and chose to eat at the main buffet dining hall. Overall, we’d go here again in a heartbeat. It was the first vacation in 15 years where I felt completely at ease due to the staff, layout and abundance of things to do at the resort. #1 tip: BOOK CLUB MOBAY for the airport BOTH ways. It saved us HOURS!
