Just returned from a 4 day break at Warner Heythrope Park (20 -24th Feb), I must say having read some of the reviews in late Nov/Dec 22 I was not sure how good this new resort was going to be. Well all Ican say is it was a fantastic stay, what a beautiful resort, as you come up the drive you are met by this beautiful house set in stunning grounds. The booking in system on the road is still very good and should remain in place. We booked some time ago so we upgraded to the Superior rooms in the main house, these rooms are absolutely beautiful and extremely large with separate bathroom with a roll top bath and shower. There are 3 restaurants, 2 serving breakfast and 3 serving dinner, we ate at both restaurants for breakfast the Market Garden is the larger restaurant and is self service the Brasserie 32 is much smaller and is waiter service, we ate at this one more and preferred the quiteness and the views overthe grounds from the windows. We ate all all 3 restaurants for dinner and would recommend the Brasserie 32 and the pub, both good menu's. The swimming pool is very good (20 mts), with a sauna, steam room and outside Jacuzzi. Archery and shooting are easy to book along with croquet. Bar and evening entertainment are good woth comfortable seats. We visited Upton house which is approx 30 mins drive away, very nice with plenty of paintings and nice grounds. Will certainly return to Heythrope in the near future a d would highly recommend it.

We had a deluxe room which was a nice size. The view was poor considering the house sits in 400 acres, There was a large mirror by the door which should have been shelves or a cupboard so we could empty our suitcase and be comfortable in the room.. All the staff were very pleasant but Warners needs to re-organise how they deliver the food to the tables. The food was not up to the standard of Studley Castle. The meals were never hot. The sea bass I had was hard as it was overcooked. The lamb on the carvery another evening was hard. The steaks that we ordered in Brasserie 32 were tasteless and poor quality. The roast beef on our last evening was very nice. The entertainment was poor when compared to Studley Castle. It felt like they were penny-pinching. The whole place is too big and Warners do not seem to have any control over the running of all the departments. Even the staff when we went into the Marketplace did not seem to know how to use the computer to check off our room numbers! Needless to say we will not be going back to Heythrop Park again.

We will NEVER return. Hubby enjoyed his time here in 1980s as Bank employee. He was keen to return as i was to see where....... Appalling facilities for customers, spa is a disgrace, food service poor, entertainment is regimented. Disappointing.
