A grand resort with zero service. Booked 5 rooms for our 50 th birthday which was disastrous , From start its been a disaster, we have been allotted a butler/supervisor by the name Adrien, for our rooms who is an absolute sadistic person who only wants to make our holiday a living hell, he will go out of his way not to respond on time and not give us reservations in any restaurant we want, when u go and see they are 50 % empty. When we clearly told him its our 50 th and he needs to make special arrangements for our dinner every day, rooms were given at 4:30 pm in-spite of sending no of emails for early check in . They have requested for flight details and all personal details in 4 emails which were given and at time of check in , no details were present and we had to fill in all details again. U ask anything they say it needs to be pre-booked and nothing is ever available. More than 50 % staff are outright rude and obnoxious , sarcastic and basically the worst u dont expect or imagine. Its un imaginable to even comprehend. It took us 2 days to even figure out what to do how even go about anything in such circumstances. Food in most restaurants are average to below average, portion sizes are appallingly little, we were served 2 eraser sized chicken pieces for main course, especially when u charge a hefty amount for them. Its like they want to fleece u on every level. We went to Sofitel close by and had the best meal and tasty too, service there was notably great as it should be and serving size as per intl standard. We asked few of the staff members in hotel whats going on and why staff are behaving like this and making it difficult on every level, some of them outrightly told us that they are underpaid and long hours and they are very unhappy so its shown on the guests, this is appalling our special celebrations were ruined in this property and spent all the money and effort and time for nothing. then we came across a senior staff member called jimmy, who went out of his way to salvage the situation and at least in assisted us for our dinners and organizing transportation and etc , he was the only sliver lining. Don’t know how SLH accreditation is part of this resort. It’s 1 star service. Now need to think twice before booking an SLH property.they should disassociate themselves from this property immediately otherwise Reputation of SLH is at stake .

Great hotel, with a vast array of activities, located in the lush and green south part of the island. In my opinion not quite 5 Star, but a very good 4 Star + Was greeted by very friendly guest liaison person. Who promptly introduced Noor, who would be our point person for any questions, booking activities, taxi rides, and a fantastic source of local knowledge. He was brilliant! The stunning view from the reception area down to the pool and past that to the beach will be forever be etched in my memory. Opted for bed and breakfast rather than half board or all inclusive, giving us the freedom to check out local or places on the island first dinner. Staff were all very friendly and nothing was too much for them. Did have a couple of issues, no face flannels in room after first night, flickering light on shower, broken door on mini fridge. Had to report them multiple times, that was disappointing, and the shower light issue was never solved. Onsite restaurant choice was pretty impressive, although was necessary to book. Had a lovely couple of meals at Le Palmier by the beach, fish selection was superb and the quality of the ingredients was top notch. Anabella’s restaurant had different themes each night so bound to be something that would suit everyone. During the day it’s where the superb breakfast is served. Buffet with an amazing selection of fresh fruit, waffles/pancake bar, pasties, on top of the buffet breakfast standard mains and chef cooking eggs to order. Had a deluxe suite, overlooking the river that runs from the beach winding its way through the hotel. Room was light, airy, huge bathroom and the view from balcony to the lush gardens and river. Aircon & fan that kept us cool on the hot days/nights, was definitely needed. Tried the spa on a few occasions, although staff insisted we book before, even though we were often, the only ones there. One was bordering on rude when we just turned up, but ushered us through within a few minutes. Did however do a couples massage before checking out and that was an amazing experience, our own little villa, bath filled with flowers to bath in after massage, was sheer luxury and worth every penny Lovely hotel, a few minor issues with service and maintenance, would then give it a 5star rating

For three years in a row I have taken my family to the Heritage Le Telfair resort. We've rented villas in the past, this year decided to stay in the hotel suites. Each year has been a joy, always attentive service, but never overpowering, just perfectly present when you need them. The various hotel facilities are all excellent, the pools are safe and clean, pool service for food and drinks are excellent, the various sports are all well presented and enjoyable. Heritage Le Telfair delivers an excellent family vacation, plain and simple.
