Great stay. Excellent service. Very roomy and clean. Large bathroom. Nothing bad to comment. The location is a walking distance from the Airbus and from attractions. Would recommend it and go there again. Aaaaaàaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
The hotel itself is not bad, however they were doing sewer repair in the street and the whole place smells like sewage. My disappointment is with the staff itself. I called the hotel a week in advance and told them I will be arriving early in the morning. I was willing to purchase an additional night for the day before, I didn't want to arrive at 7:00 am and not be able to. Check-in till 4:00. They assure me not to worry and they will get me in early and I didn't need to purchase the extra night. Well my fear came true. They told me they were all booked and as siin as aroom becomes available, they will let me know. I got in at 3:15. The front desk was rude and felt as if they were making us wait on purpose. It wasn't till the day I was checking out, I noticed several rooms on my floor were vacant (they leave the door opened on the vacant units) I noticed people sitting with luggage in the lobby. I asked them were they waiting for a room to open up and they said yes, they had been waiting for hours. I told them to complain and that there were 4 rooms on my floor alone that were vacant and cleaned. Any review telling you the service is good is lying
This hotel is just comically bad. It's really funny. A porter that doesn't help bringing the luggage from the taxi inside. Receptionists that aren't fluent in English. Dry cleaning that has no idea how to treat a wool and leather jacket (They literally told me I need a specialist. The dry cleaning S-P-E-C-I-A-L-I-S-T-S). Their "Attic" "restaurant" or whatever the name is, they brand it as stylish and lavish on their website. In reality it's a claustrophobic shaft that has terrible coffee and doesn't have chocolate milk. At all. Like, all it takes is literally just putting 1-2 chocolate cubes in a glass of milk, and they didn't even have that. The pool? Too shallow even for goldfish. The AC hardly heats. I've put it on 32 degrees and still sat inside with a hoodie I asked them to order me a doctor to the suite because I had a small issue, and they were shocked. Like they had no idea that such a thing even exists. They actually told me it isn't possible, and that their in-house doctor is off because of some holiday - even when I told them I wanted a private doctor and cost isn't an issue. Never encountered something so ridiculous We asked for umbrellas because it was raining and were told that we have one in the suite (we didn't btw). I told them that we're two people, and they said they give only one umbrella per room. Even for a suite that according to them can house 4 guests. Couldn't supply an extra lousy umbrella after I spent 100 euros just on their useless dry cleaning We value our privacy and asked for no housekeeping when we arrived. One time though I did ask if the housekeeper can clean a bit while we're still in the room, and they said no. She needs to be alone in there. Hilarious But the peak was when we asked for a late checkout. We asked for it when we checked in and were told to ask that again the morning we leave, but that they will write our request on the side. At 6am on our last day I asked the receptionist about it. He told me to ask again at 9am when the morning shift arrives, but that he sees the suite is available so it shouldn't be a problem. Came back at 9, and the receptionist tells me THE ENTIRE HOTEL is completely full. It goes without saying that this hotel was basically vacant the whole time we were there, and there were available rooms of each type on their official website AND every single third party one Maybe they thought we were drug dealers or something. I mean, no other hotel anywhere else ever did, but I guess they're not used to guests who value their privacy, come back to the suite with bags from every Paseo de Gracia store by day and hang out by night until 5-6 am. Go figure. I only wish they would have let us know that we weren't welcomed there so we could have left sooner. Considering how terrible the value for money you get there is, I think the manager would have shown the shareholders quite good financial reports even without the money for our entire stay
