So this hotel is mainly very good but with room for improvement. Pros: location right next to the beach, two lovely pool areas, close to the center of Portinatx (which is tiny, quiet and beautiful - what we personally wanted), surrounded by beautiful scenery and gardens, nice fresh and varied breakfast with fresh ommlette and pancakes, clean and tidy, lovely decor, comfortable beds (if you like a firm mattress), decent views from the room and helpful reception staff (sorted a hire car out for us). Cons: not good for those who are disabled or find walking hard - lots of steps and hilly areas - Portinatx is partially built into a cliff face as is the hotel - beautiful but not accessible (not an issue for us but does need making clear), staff overworked in the morning at breakfast, hot breakfast room even in October, some shabby bits around the edges e.g. The light fixtures, hairdryer, phone and thermostat in our room (side sea view double, first floor), the view cannot be classed as a sea view imo - mountain and view of the sunbed terrace more like! - not a problem but a bit miffed we paid extra for that, some missing tiles in the beach facing pool... A bit meh for a four star hotel. Overall I'd come back. I love the area and the hotel overall has a relaxing vibe. I'd also mention however that staying here works best if you take a few days out in a hire car as there isn't a lot to do. I hope the hotel will take some of the cons comments into consideration.

The hotel was amazing, spacious and clean and tidy. It was relatively easy to get sun beds by the main pool. The pool was freezing and could do with being heated. The surrounding area has little coves with white sandy beaches. The area Portinax is beautiful, with lots of different restaurants to choose from. Fantastic bar across from the beach that were generous with their l measures. Very quiet too if you want just to relax and read books. We had Bed & Breakfast option and the food was okay but typical buffet style and the restaurant is like a canteen. It could get very busy at breakfast with people queuing for everything. Selection of bacon, eggs, omelettes, cheese, cereals, selection of pastries, bread and juices. The food was cold when you got back from queuing for coffee etc. We eat in the restaurant once as we had a thunderstorm one night. Again food was pretty standard but cold when you got settled down to eat. Not spicy enough for me and bland. The staff were all lovely! Cleaners also great. I would definitely go back with the Bed & Breakfast option instead of all inclusive. Would defo recommend if want to re-charge your batteries. Unfortunately I got a horrid flu/Covid on my return that i caught on the plane. Might be best to wear your mask to avoid. Wish I had.

September 2022
Visited in September and it was a lovely holiday.Staff are wonderful especially Sarah Jane at the poolside bar.We booked a suite and it was clean and spacious and it looked over a road but very quiet.Had self catering facilities but no bowls pots or pans.Breakfast couldnāt fault as it had something for everyone.People have said it is crammed in breakfast area so eat outside or avoid the 9o clock slot. The pools are lovely and the beach one of the cleanest I have been to.We were feeding fish big fish from our hands.Only negatives are if you have problems with mobility donāt go to Portinatx as it is hilly and steps everywhere.Secondly in September some restaurants close and we were bed and breakfast.Thirdly be aware that Portinatx is a two hour plus drive by coach from airport. When go again will get private fransfer
