Lovely hotel overlooking the beach. Staff are so friendly and happy to help. Bar area is fab with a chilled ambience. Breakfast has so much choice and is really tasty. As a veggie, most hot options are meat based but with the added choice of Mediterranean veg and Spanish tortilla and various other options, I had choices My only negatives are parking is limited and the rooms, whilst they looked great they aren't thought out well. The bathroom lacks privacy. The obscured glass to the toilet is a no no for me. Overall, would definitely return for the staff and food.

Absolutely terrible experience with staff at reception terribly rude especially the woman , The food is disgusting. And the cleanliness is also terrible with 2 weeks stay not once changed bedding. And the rooms was wiped over with minimal effort. Dirt and sand left everywhere, The grounds are filthy and not kept clean . No nice atmosphere and with the room number check everytime going for dinner or breakfast felt like a prison or nursing home it was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in . Portinatx is beautiful and so are the other hotels , with el Greco winning hands down . We have been to porinatx 10 times but this hotel was the worst by far more like a 2 star , Dont waste your money going here it’s a complete let down ,

Spent a lovely, relaxing week here in room 219. The room was a reasonable size with twin beds and a bed settee, two balconies with fantastic views of the bay, tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge. As seems to be the case with all hotels these days the storage was poor. The beds were firm but comfortable. Asked for extra pillows and they appeared within minutes. The bathroom was huge with a large shower, a double sink and the only toilet seat I've ever come across with square edges...very uncomfortable! The staff were very friendly and attentive, particularly in the two bars. After a couple of days they knew exactly what you were going to order! Unfortunately, the restaurant was too small for the amount of guests wanting to use it, on one occasion we were given a number and had to wait in a queue to get in. At breakfast time you could use either the restaurant or nearby pool bar area to eat. This made for a much calmer experience The hotel itself was very clean and well maintained, plenty of sunbeds, but for some strange reason, not enough parasols. Loved the infinity pool, even if it was a bit chilly. The range of food in the restaurant was reasonable, particularly the cakes, but the hot food wasn't hot and the meat could be tough. My husband's main gripe was the under cooked and cold bacon, no mushrooms and having to queue for a fried egg. The lunch time food, by comparison, was great, but not a huge choice. The amount of fries we were given was excessive, so they gave us a doggy bag!! The only real down sizes were the mosquitos, obviously not the hotels fault, and the performance of reception when we arrived. We arrived at 1 in the morning tired and disorientated. The only person on desk seemed to take for ever to check in 3 people who appeared to be in separate rooms. He then disappeared for, what felt like ages, to show them to their rooms. Repeated the slow progress with us, and then expected 2 elderly people to carry heavy luggage down a set of dimly lit steps, twelve, I counted them. Luckily we were helped by a randomly passing member of staff. Not a good first impression. Despite this we had a great time and would have no hesitation staying at this lovely hotel again.
