Creta Palace looks upon the glorious Creta sea and Rethymno old town silhouette 1,5 km away. Mature gardens with gigantic araucarias frame the distinct bungalow villages that surround the Palace main buildings. The most hospitable people host you in the most hospitable beach in Crete. Above all, Creta Palace is a kids and activities paradise. A real resort classic.

We recently stayed at this fantastic family hotel, and it exceeded all our expectations! We booked a family bungalow with a beautiful garden view, got a wonderful room in a quiet area. Booked half-board meal plan - incredibly convenient for us, especially with the complimentary lunches and snacks for the kids. It was a lifesaver for managing the needs of our little monsters, who can be quite moody at times! What saved my body shape - the fitness activities available. They offered a perfect balance, allowing me to keep fit while indulging in all the delicious Greek cuisine that the hotel had to offer. It truly felt like a guilt-free way to enjoy the local flavours! We have tried all the a la carte restaurants on site - Barbarossa is my personal favourite now. Carpaccio sea bass and tagliatelle with seafood will live in my heart forever! Last but not least, the staff at the hotel were incredibly helpful and attentive. They made us feel right at home, going above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable stay. Overall, this hotel is a wonderful destination for families looking to relax, have fun, and create lasting memories together. Highly recommend!

Our holiday didn't get off to the best start when the TUI coach transfer from the airport to our hotel took much longer than atticipated due to the amount of drop offs we had to make to other hotels along the way. This meant that although our flight arrived on time at 11.20pm we didn't reach our hotel until gone 2.30am in the morning. Even the hotel staff who greeted us said they had been expecting us one hour earlier. Despite the late arrival we were met with welcome drinks & a small supper in our room which was most appreciative. I had paid extra for a sea view room & although our room did indeed have a sea view it was visible behind the main pool area & a number of palm trees so truth be told it was more like a limited sea view. Whilst the room didn't quite reach the levels of 5 star luxury it was nevertheless spacious, clean & comfortable with a small balcony, plenty of storage space & coat hangers, a large TV, more than adequate AC & the bath robes & slippers were a nice extra touch. This was our 3rd time at a Grecotel hotel in recent years & this was quite possibly the best yet. The Creta Palace has the look of a 5 star hotel from the grand entrance with waterfalls to the stylish if eclectic furniture in the lobby & bar areas, the long sandy beach, the immaculate grounds, the deluxe bungalows on the sea front with swimming pools & the many amenities the hotel has to offer such as the spa room, gym, jewellery shop, mini market, clothes shop & cafe. The main buffet-style restaurant was located outside in a courtyard area & upper terrace with trees & lanterns & candles for lighting. There was a plentiful choice of dishes on offer and whilst some dishes were inevitably repeated during the week they also had a special dish of the day each day of which the sirloin steak & beef wellington were exceptionally good. If you wanted a change from the buffet restaurant A La Carte dining was available from 4 other restaurants but as you had to pre-book these it wasnt suitable for us as we were often out on excursions & never sure what time we would be back. The quality of customer service throughout the hotel was exceptional & we found all the staff to be very accomodating exemplified by the fact we were allowed to have a late check out from our room as well as the use of the spa room to shower & change on our last day when we had a late departure. Overall, we had a fabulous stay at the Creta Palace & we hope to return in the very near future.

Having spoken to Mr Antonios Stathakis about our disappointment, he was more than helpful and moved us to a recently renovated room which was more than what we expected. Just wanted to pass on my thanks and gratitude for making our holiday xx
