I LOVED my experience with Grand Residences. I enjoyed every minute in spent In there. I do not want to describe the features I enjoyed the most because I know all other guests talked a lot about them, from 1. The level of details they paid attention to, in the room and outside. 2. The variety and diversity of activities that are offered. 3. The level of personal care and attention offered and provided. I will just mention a few personnels who left unforgettable memories with me, confirming that I can’t mention the name of each and every person although everyone has done a great job making my stay unforgettable. First of all, very BIG thanks to the management that was determined to plan and offer the best experience with everything they did. The room service was done twice each day, although I did not need all that. Room service was excellent and the staff usually are underrated because you seldom see any of them, they just make sure your room is clean, arranged and perfect. Let me start with the Queen of them all…. Alejandra aka Alex…. Without exaggeration, she is running the resort, most of the guests’ activities and experience. She alone, does more than 10 activities back to back in an outstanding way, nonstop and all day long (Spanish lessons, yoga, bicycle, swimming pool, Bingo, and many others).. She keeps high spirits although she is exhausted. I can’t get her out of my mind. The Lobby bar, is where I spent long time, Yameer is the professional hardworking was outstanding. Thank you Yameer. Filex is professional. Sebastian is very professional and funny. On the pool and beach, Eliseo was recognizable.. made sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. In the restaurants, all personnels made my convenience my priority. Javier, Rosa, and I am really sorry I can’t remember the names of the rest, they were really excellent people, hardworking, very attentive and extremely caring. In the lobby, the staff were very professional, Iliana was the girl. Again, I feel bad not to be able to recognize each one of them, but they all did a very good job. They are professional, trained, polite and awesome. Don’t go there without utilizing the professional photo service (Loreley and Diana) they add additional touch of professionalism to your experience.

Just came back from a 5 day stay in February with wife at the GRRC. Wonderful time, great place to relax. Pros: Great weather. Good time to visit, not too hot. The great food. Italian, Mexican, and international. There is also the Heaven Beach bar that serves lighter fare. Shrimp tacos are awesome. The three bars offers name brand liquors and beer. Jack Daniels, Patron Tequila, Tanqueray gin, et al. But I don't think the pool bar always used those in mixing cocktails. You should request a particular brand when ordering a drink. The pools; There are three pools. A heated adult pool with two spas and swim-up bar, no one under 18. A family pool where kids are allowed. A lap pool if you actually want to swim, although I never saw anyone in it. Beautiful architecture done in Spanish style. Some master suites have their own small swimming pool. The suite comes with a mini fridge with snacks, Coke, Mexican Beer included. And one thing that I thought was pretty neat; they give you a rubberized wristband with a chip embedded in it that unlocks the door to your suite. That helps you from carrying a key card as in other resorts. The customer care was top notch. The arranged shuttle had cold washcloth and bottled water for us. The concierge greeted us with a cocktail as we arrived. They sent a delicious chocolate cake to our suite for my wife's birthday . Poolside they offer fruit kabobs, popsicles, and take orders for drinks. The concierges reaching us to make sure everything is OK. They do try to sell you a membership but no hard pressure as in other resorts I've been to. A place to relax and be treated like royalty. Now the cons: These are not necessarily negatives, but advise for some. If you're into night life there's not much, as you would see in the Cancun Hotel Zone. This is not a place that for Spring Breakers. Everything pretty much closes down around 10pm, which was fine for us, since we're not the partying type. Not enough restaurants. They have only three restaurants, however they are expanding and they will be adding additional places to eat. The beach is somewhat small and seaweed, called sargassum, is in the surf and on the beach. That's not the fault of the resort. The seaweed problem is really bad this year on the beaches along the peninsula. The resort has a tractor that attempts to rake up the seaweed but it doesn't help much. There are a lot of rocks in the water, so I suggest you wear water shoes if you do go in the water. Although not many were doing so. Bottom line: This is a resort that caters to families with small children. Teens might be a little bored. 20/30 somethings might want a livelier night life. Most of the guest that I saw were 40/50+. I think their focus is on more mature clientele who want a relaxing vacation where they can be catered. All in all, I would give the Grand Residences Riviera Cancun 4.8 stars. Mostly pros, few cons. If you have any questions about anything I didn't address feel free to add them in the comments. I'd be happy to answer them.

I look forward to our annual trip to Grand Residences every year! After every trip I dream about our next time traveling to this magical place where I finally get to relax and have a pampering me time! This last trip was no exception! In fact, I booked my next trip only a few days after arriving back home. GR is absolutely TOP NOTCH when it comes to customer satisfaction! The staff, no matter how big or small their role is, goes out of their way to accommodate our every needs! Just for transparency, GR is a small, quiet resort. There are no late-night parties or activities. I am generally back to the room by 9:30pm after spending a nice evening dinner with my husband at one of their 3 amazing restaurants. We enjoy this part of the resort very much; others might require a resort with more evening festivities – in that case you should look elsewhere. Also, this is a family resort – we never have a problem with this aspect, and I hope to one day bring our kids to visit as they seem to have plenty of day time activities to please all ages! I noticed on this visit that the main restaurant El Faro Grill downsized their lunch menu but what is left on the menu are crowd pleasing for sure. Honestly this place is the best, the rooms are clean, comfortable and the housekeeping comes in daily plus an evening turn down service! There is no better place to go if you want to be treated like a king/queen!
