We spent eight nights at this wonderful resort right on the beach. It’s a very modern design and spectacular in every way. There are multiple beautiful pools on the beach. Our room was oceanfront on the 5th floor with great vistas of the sea and Cozumel in the distance. It had a huge bathtub and rain shower. We spent a day at the spa and enjoyed the lap pool and dip pools. The Club was a great place for breakfast in the morning and complimentary drinks in the evening. Andrea, the Club concierge, was extremely helpful in every way including how to fill out the confusing exit documents which weren’t even collected at immigration. The service in the Club was exceptional and Maria was always so attentive. The hotel is very spread out so there’s lots of walking and the independent beach club next door is very loud at times from 11am to 7pm. The walk to 5th Avenue and all the restaurants and activity is only a block away. Lots of great seafood and margaritas! We really loved this resort and the wonderful friendly staff.

It is a beautiful and clean hotel right off 5th. Excellent locations. If you are a horrible person and parent and want to leave your children screaming in public areas and hotels, this is the place for you. But for almost $800 / night for club level, I expect the hotel I stay at to require their customers to have some respect for other customers. Also, the food on the club level and the restaurants were inedible. We had to send back a hamburger cause god only knows what it was made out of. The sushi was no better than my local gas station and the egg in the club level were just disgusting. The hotel bathrooms looked really pretty, with smoked glass doors. Until you realized that meant every time someone got up to use the bathroom, the light spilled out to every room in the suite. And, non of those doors closed all the way and were on sliders. So they banged around everytime you opened or closed one and every noise in the bathroom was shared throughout the room. I am an elite member at Hyatt and this is the worst hotel I have stayed at, including some of their old, busted lower-end brands. At least they can cook an egg.

Thank you so much to Karen, and the grand Hyatt team for making my wedding weekend so special! They were accommodating, helpful, and reassuring throughout the whole process. I highly recommend them, 5 out of 5 star!
