Grand Hyatt Berlin

Came here for my marathon. The staff couldn't be nicer. Everyone I interacted was so friendly and welcoming. The front desk staff even accommodated my request to stow my luggage for a few days between my stays. They especially made me feel welcome as a Globalist member. The spa exceeded my expectations - I had an extremely helpful session with a therapist prior to my marathon that readied my legs. The spa facilities were also top-notch.

In spite of being in a great location, the hotel seriously needs carpet and floor cleaning. Strong smell of soiled carpets everywhere. Property is better off removing soiled carpets completely. Staff and customer service great Location great Breakfast is quite good Currently, the hotel is not ready for top-class service. Felt like did not get value for the buck.

I stayed at the Hyatt Grand Berlin for 4 nights for the 2024 Berlin Marathon. I cannot say more positive things about this hotel. Front desk staff is among the very best in the world in terms of service and hospitality. Very, very kind individuals. Every single one of them. They got me checked in well before 3pm check in as I was jet lagged coming from the States. My room was pristine clean. Beautiful black marble in bathroom with spa tub separate from shower. Plenty of very large, soft and fresh towels replaced daily. Room cleaned daily. Sheets changed on third day, sooner upon request. Plenty of space in my cleanly carpeted room to use my foam roller and stretch! Bed is clean and cozy with firm comfortable mattress! Ahhhh! And the place smells so good all of the time! This hotel has 2 restaurants. The staff in both were phenomenal! Ms Mohammed in the Bistro was particular kind and gifted in terms of service and hospitality. She accommodated my extremely restricted and sensitive diet. I was so grateful for that! The food is fresh and absolutely delicious. If you are Vegan and or gluten free this is the place to stay. No matter how busy things got with us rude American marathon runners, the entire staff remained kind, patient and professional at all times! Please visit the spa! There is a masseuse there by the name of David who is 6 ft 7 in tall and has the best hands I have every experience in my spa world travels! I had two deep tissue massages with David and felt as if I was completely floating! All my post 5K and post marathon back, hip flexor, leg and foot pain left due to this gifted young man. Make sure you visit their Spa and ask for David! In summary, I think that the Grand Hyatt Berlin is the very best hotel in all of Berlin. I am a physician who is anal about cleanliness. As a woman of color, I always felt welcome and accepted here. This is the place to stay! I plan to return next year! Many thanks to this incredible hotel staff!
