Nice hotel but expensive
It’s ok ✅ probably overpriced for what you get - the rooms are comfortable but in our room the vinyl floor was lifting and looked cheap and lots noise from adjacent rooms including crying baby and a lady walking about in high heeled shoes all the time stomping across our ceiling- The food is on the whole good but the hotel chefs continue to cook meat at the grill and turn it and serve it to you using the same implement used to put raw meat on the grill So high risk of cross contamination

Not a 5 star resort
Just back from a pretty disappointing week at the Gran Tacanda. Booked a suite and the first thing you notice is that the floor tiles are loose in a number of places around the room. The room wasn't cleaned on our second day and we had to ring down for towels. A number of restaurants and bars around the resort are closed so no choice for dining. We used the spa once, while we were there a group of around 4-5 children were allowed in with their parents even though the signs said no one under the age of 16 was allowed into the spa area. Entertainment was poor at night. Altogether a disappointing experience. We visited the GF Victoria across the road to see what the facilities were like and altogether a cleaner brighter and much more lively hotel. We booked a week in May and got a good deal from reception.

Great hotel, amazing room.
A nice week in this hotel, the highlight was the room it was so spacious and a great position in the hotel overlooking the pool and sea view. We didn't need to take many toiletries as there was a great selection in the room. There were robes, slippers, coffee machine and a nice jacuzzi bath on a very large balcony. The bed was really comfortable too. Breakfast was vast, every food item you can imagine! The egg chef was brilliant he couldn't do enough for us! The sky bar was really nice, great cocktails and fantastic views. The San Sebastian area was nice, pool was warm, food and drink options included were a bit limited. We didn't see the hotel entertainment but it sounded OK when we walked through in the evenings. We would definitely stay again.
