The check in process is very slow, the staff at reception are very slow and if you are hoping for any information regarding the hotel, the on-site restaurants, where to find breakfast, local area or anything else you will be sorely disappointed. A pity really as the Gara Suites itself is clean, nice rooms, friendly staff (except reception) and very comfortable.

Very slow check in, only 1 person on desk, where was the other staff, requested a higher floor got put on low floor, good size room, 2 single beds and a big double pull out sofa bed in living room, big bathroom with great power shower, good choice of food for evening meal, ok entertainment at night, good choice of food at breakfast time also, no trouble at pool getting a sunbed, free wi fi all around hotel, warning all payments are made by card no money transactions at all. If you want a room with a pool or golf view i would suggest you upgrade or you will get put in one of the rooms with a not so good view, maids in everyday changing towels. there is a spa at the hotel but be warned this is not free, only the gym is free.

Definitely not a 4 star room, well not the one we stayed in! Very basic room, the sofa which was meant to be a bed for our daughter was not suitable it was rock hard, they did change the mattress but was definitely not a sofa bed! We stayed half board I thought there may have been facilities in the room to be able to make a light snack during the day but nothing apart from a kettle and 2 cups and a tiny fridge! No complimentary tea/coffee or water. We were late arriving on the first night due to flight being delayed so missed the evening meal. The hotel and pool area are immaculate, staff friendly a little over keen to get into the room in the mornings to clean, on 3 occasions the cleaner just walked in and didn’t knock which was annoying! Entertainment was poor but the entertainment team tried their best. Hotel is quite a walk from town probably around 25 mins walk steep coming back up, ok if you like walking though.
