Fitzpatrick Grand Central

We arrived at 2.30, our rooms were not ready but that’s ok, the Aerlingus crew that flew us to New York had to accommodated first, it’s ok I work in the airline industry, the crew need to start their rest period to be able to operate the next flight. This hotel was expensive, yes it’s a great location but our double room had a very standard double bed despite paying for a delux room, no breakfast included and paper cups on the room, no water either, overall the staff were fantastic, the bar was lively. The food however was very mediocre. An avocado toast had plenty in portion size, but lacked everything in taste, overall we enjoyed our stay however for $500 per night I would have expected more!

We are just back from a week-long stay at the fitzpatrick grand central. We had a lovely time here. We had to wait a little bit for our room to be ready and it was lovely. We did have an issue the first night with a bathroom issue. They put us up in a different room until the following morning where the issue was fixed. They gave us the option of choosing which room we wanted to keep. As my partner was travelling for work we kept our original room. We ate breakfast most days in the wheeltapper and it was lovely. Likewise with lunch and dinner a few times. The staff in both the hotel and the wheeltapper were next to none. They never had an issue and we were always greeted as if we were there forever. Thanks for a great stay. We've definitely found our new york base in grand central and can't wait to return!!!

Really outstanding friendliness and service from the front desk people, notably Brendan. Sarah was a delight as well. Brendan and the others do everything they can to make us feel at home in the hotel. The location is another asset, and the room was quiet at night. (If only the room had a better view than a tall brick wall). Thanks Brendan and all, we will return here.
