Finest Playa Mujeres

THIS IS THE RESORT you want to vacation at! This was a return visit for my family, and it did not disappoint. We talked to several families that have been here 5-10 times. I’ll tell you why - It’s the staff! We made friends with several staff members last year and they remembered us this year!! The beach club staff is awesome - Angel , Eduardo , and Pita. They prepared our place and catered to our family. I continued to be impressed with them as they talked to my daughter in Spanish and spoke English very well too. Javier and Victor were our beach service team. They also remembered us from last year. They were constantly checking on us & bringing us water, food, & drinks. We talked to them the entire week and had so much fun. If you get the pleasure of being around these folks take the time to talk to them and enjoy them. They are very appreciative of tips. We all wanted to be generous because they did such a great job. The staff are all very kind, intelligent individuals. The resort is manicured with a grounds crew that is working at 6AM everyday. The workout facility is above average and there are daily activities for the family. There is also nightly entertainment and live music. My favorite server for this trip was Julio from Lizo. The manager, Rocky, at Duke’s was also wonderful. I just can’t say enough about the staff. It was worth every penny & we hope to be back soon.

I first visited Finest Playa Mujeres in 2016 when it was newly opened, and I had a wonderful experience. Naturally, I was eager to return, and the opportunity arose eight years later when my best friend chose Cancun for her bridal trip. PROS: The resort remains as pristine as it was during my initial visit, with immaculate grounds and beautiful landscaping. From the moment we arrived, the resort felt secure and welcoming, which was especially important for a group of nine women. Upon arrival, the valet and bellhop assisted us with our luggage, and we were greeted warmly. The dining experience was excellent across the board. The restaurants offered delicious meals, and the staff was generally kind and accommodating. In particular, Leonardo and Joceline from Le Petit, and Daniel from Lizo, provided exceptional service. The resort’s mobile app was also a convenient tool for planning our days and dining reservations. The resort’s live entertainment was abundant and enjoyable, while the beach was well-maintained with clean towels readily available. One standout feature was the personalized service we received due to being a larger group. We were introduced to Munther, the Food and Beverage Guest Relations Manager, who went above and beyond to ensure our dinners were flawlessly organized throughout our stay. His patience and attention to detail were remarkable. On one occasion, I mistakenly mixed up our dinner reservation, and Munther was quick to accommodate the changes. His hospitality extended even further when he arranged for rose petals to be placed on our table to celebrate the bride-to-be. It was gestures like these that truly elevated our experience. CONS: While the majority of the staff were friendly and professional, there were a few disappointing instances. One notable issue occurred when we inquired about late checkout. Initially, some members of our group were charged $50 per room for an extended checkout until 4:00 PM the next day. However, when others from our group made the same request later, they were told it would cost $100 per room. When we politely questioned the inconsistency, Vanessa, a staff member from the front desk, became confrontational. Her demeanor was unprofessional, marked by eye-rolling and dismissive behavior, which left us feeling more like an inconvenience than valued guests. The interaction was escalated, and while some of us were offered vouchers for a future stay, the experience left a negative impression and marred our final evening. Additionally, a minor issue arose regarding pre-arranged amenities for the bride-to-be, which were promised at check-in but never delivered. While these details didn’t significantly impact our overall stay, they did reflect a lapse in communication. Final Thoughts: Overall, our stay had many highlights, particularly the excellent dining experiences and the high level of service from Munther and other standout staff members. However, the inconsistencies and unprofessional behavior we encountered, particularly during our final day, detracted from the experience. I hope that the resort can take this feedback constructively to enhance the guest experience moving forward.
