Icelandic cool, quiet location
We had a superior double which whilst compact had everything we needed (our soft suitcases went under the bed easily). Nicely decorated in the room and throughout the hotel, the lobby area is good for sitting and enjoying a free hot drink. The location is quiet, outside the main busy centre of ReykjaivÃk but an easy 10 minute walk to reach the edge of the shopping and dining area, 15 minutes to get into central downtown. Free parking outside too. We stayed here for two nights at the end of our Iceland holiday and it was a great way to wind down a bit and enjoy the city.

Quirky, quiet, eco stay
Having booked a superior double I had hoped for slightly more room. No where to put a case but very well appointed rooms with a full range of toiletries and amenities. Reception are totally efficient and polite, but smiling seems absent. The breakfast, not included, is about £21 per head. Although very steep it is excellent with a range of continental to eggs and bacon. The signature cereal is a must. Complimentary tea and coffee are available all day in the comfort of the lounge/restaurant area and happy hour late afternoon.

A great place to stay
This is a hotel with individual style and character. It feels like you are immersed in the experience and the staff are so warm, friendly and helpful from the room staff right through to reception and catering - everything delivered with a smile.
