This was our first visit to Excellence Riviera Cancun and we are already planning our next trip! Prior to arrival, we received specific directions on where to meet our private shuttle to get to the hotel. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by Gustavo who was so welcoming and kind. The champagne and cool towels were a very nice welcome. We opted for the Excellence Club and loved the private check-in. Our room was decorated for our anniversary and we had a beautiful ocean and pool view (room 7160). Every meal we had was incredible and (if possible) better than the one before. You must do the hibachi at Spice, the sea bass at Flavor Market, and try the different specials at Magna. Breakfast at Lobster House was our favorite (chillaquiles were my fav)! If you're not sure what to order, order both! The vibe at this resort was so chill and just happy. The Excellence Club during the day by the pool and in the evening at Magna was so welcoming and kind - we aren't super chatty but really enjoyed the people we talked with. Everyone was there to just have a good time. There are tons of fun activities - aqua aerobics, in-pool bingo, in-pool casino, bracelet making... to just name a few. The staff at ERC is incredible and is a huge reason why we'll go back rather than trying a different resort. Miriam at the check-in and concierge was so kind and helpful. Raul and Daniel at the EC pool concierge were amazing - so attentive, kind, and went above and beyond to make sure we were having a great time. Luis, Amable, Moises, and Margarita at the EC pool bar were so wonderful and just so sweet. And at Magna, we loved getting to see Alfredo, Luis and Yoveny each night. Every night we went back, was better than the one before. I know there are people we are forgetting, but we loved every minute and can't wait to go back - the staff at this resort make it the amazing place that it is! Side notes - you can order room service to be delivered each morning at a specific time (we did mimosas, coffee and pastries), hibachi Spice reservations start at 5pm on Sunday for the week ahead, the evening shows are so fun. Pack lots of sunscreen, a hat, and be ready for a great time!

From the moment we arrived at Excellence Riviera Cancun we were treated like royalty. The service, beach, pools, accommodations, restaurants, bars, activities, spa & entertainment were superb! We had a private dinner on the pier for our anniversary (with a private musician) that was so romantic! The Mexico Independence Day celebration dinner, entertainment & fireworks were outstanding. All of the staff were very attentive and gracious. Here are a few staff members that stood out to us: Raul the concierge at the club pool, Eliessio the pool blackjack activity dealer, Alba our server at the club pool, Moises the bartender at Cielo (the club pool), Miquel the server for our pier dinner, Ramon our server at Flavor Market, Louis the Excellence Club bartender, Elizabeth the club beach server and Manases the club pool bracelet activity guy. I highly recommend Excellence Riviera Cancun!

We visited ERC for what I think is the 9th time (we have lost count!) in September 2024. Overall, things continue to be excellent ( no pun intended). We did notice some issues this time, but overall, ERC continues to stand out in a field of adults only, all-inclusives. First, we have to applaud and thank the whole team for their response to Helene which hit the area as a strong tropical storm during our trip. It was absolutely amazing how well they did keeping everyone safe, well fed and entertained during the 2 days of impact. What was even more amazing is how quickly they got everything cleaned up and back to normal after the storm passed. While there is a long list of staff we’d like to thank, there are a few who really exceeded our expectations. Leylan in guest services, Luis the bell man, Amable at the Excellence Club beach, and Matilde who was serving around Sol bar, really looked after us and made us feel special. There was some inconsistency in how drinks were made, but Lino, Leodani, and Ricardo at the swimup bar really know how to make a drink and provide amazing service, even in very busy situations. Very special thanks to Pedro who was working the martini bar during the storm which was so busy and who we were also lucky enough to have as our bartender at the Excellence Club pool. He is so friendly and funny and is a true mixologist. (Ask for the Pedro special!) Overall, I think the issues we had were related to staffing shortages. The staff worked so hard, but at times it was hard to keep up. In all of our trips, we have never had such long waits for service once seated at a restaurant. Several times, we would be seated, and no one would even greet us or offer water for 15-20 minutes. I think at times servers were overwhelmed at restaurants by larger tables of 6 or 8. A very special thank you to Pardon at Oregano lunch who stepped in to wait on us even though we were not in his section when he saw we were waiting for a very long time. He was amazing! We also received great service from Eli at Lobster House dinner, Amir at Chez, Marcos at Magna breakfast, Adolfo at Oregano dinner, and we have to mention Itamar from the entertainment team who was so friendly and fun. We also had an issue where we asked at the Excellence Club check in desk and to another concierge who called to check on us about our in room jacuzzi. They apparently replaced the one in our room, and there was no longer a button to turn on the jets. The previous button had a hard cap on it. We asked if there was a new way to turn on the jets. Despite asking twice and being told maintenance would come to check it, we never heard back. Not a big deal, but very surprising compared to past trips. Overall another great trip and we will definitely be back.
