Great location, with a 2 min walk to the beach and 15 mins to the old town. Very clean in the room. Unfortunately the whole place is looking run down and tatty, you can tell since the pics were taken it’s had heavy use and not been maintained in the communal / pool area. Breakfast is average, lots of choice but low quality ingredients and bad coffee!
My wife came down with the flu the day we were leaving for Ibiza . As as result she spent most of our getaway in the hotel . We had a nice first floor suite with cooking facilities and an outside seating area. The hotel was not busy and there were many empty rooms , suddenly we were offered a free upgrade to a lovely top floor suite with sea views and two large patios , overlooking the pool . I had mentioned to Adrian , the desk clerk , that my wife was ill but we were trying to enjoy the area as much as possible . I can only surmise he took pity on us and kindly offered the free upgrade . I can not praise Adrian and the whole staff enough for their kind gesture . Anything we needed was dealt with immediately and professionally . Our heartfelt thanks to Adrian and all the staff.
Check in process is totally stressful, you walk around in circles before going through ticket barriers. After passing through security and passport controls there is a really small and busy Pret. The whole area needs to be redesigned as it is inadequate for the numbers. I appreciate Lille is not as busy but it had a pleasant lounge and tv and was stress free.
