Encantada Tulum

Where to begin... from the moment of our pick up at the airport in Cancun, everything about our trip was exceptional. As I write this, I am already missing Encantada and Tulum. First, the personal service is exquisite. Everyone at Encantada knew our names and preferences and were there to assist with every need. When we arrived, Christopher welcomed us with drinks and lunch and we checked into the Estrella room- which is incredible with unobstructed ocean views. On our first night, we did a mezcal tasting with Guillermo and he was wonderful! Not only was the tasting overlooking the ocean from the deck, he also gave us wonderful recommendations for Tulum. Christopher then made us a reservation at Nu for our first night, which is right across the street and was delicious!! On our second day we did yoga at Nest, which was arranged by Oscar- yoga was a private lesson in a treetop studio! We also did a couples massage at La Valise ... which just opened and was beautiful. The VERY best day was an excursion to the Ruins and a PRIVATE tour of a cenote and cave with Manual followed by tacos at a local restaurant. This experience exceeded all expectations ... Manual was incredible and I cannot emphasize the individualized experience enough. We also had dinner at Arca, which was a quick 15 minute walk and was some the very best food we've had! Lastly, a wonderful part of the property is that you have access to the jungle pool at their sister property across the street, which we did on our last day for a more laid back day. In fact, you can access all their sister properties in Tulum! Overall, it was simply the most wonderful week- there is not a SINGLE thing that was not truly excellent. We will 100% be back and wouldn't stay anywhere else in Tulum. A huge thank you to everyone at Encantada for the perfect week.

We had a wonderful time at Encantada. We loved stepping out of our room onto the beautiful white powdery sandy beach, having our breakfasts on the small deck overlooking the ocean in the shade of the palm trees and lazing on the beach, looked after by the lovely staff. Our room was spacious and very comfortable, furnished in the local style (wood and beige stone). We also enjoyed walking to the more animated part of the beach, eating in the jungle, and shopping at the very cool boutiques.

My husband & I had the privilege to stay at the Hotel Encantada this past week. We had a wonderful experience from everything from the perfect location to the excellent staff to the excursions they arranged. If you have the opportunity, drop everything & go!
