Elounda Beach Hotel

The employees really make the stay special. From Poppy at the breakfast, Giannis at the Kafenio, Marianne the Restaurant mgr, to Aspicia in the lounge - everyone was so personable, welcoming, and attentive. Our next favorite part of the resort, was access to the sea, swimming everyday in the lovely warm waters of the Mediterranean sea. We spent a little extra and stayed in the waterfront villa, and just walking from your room, down a few steps, and jumping in the sea was amazing. The only thing that stopped us from giving this 5 star rating is the resort seems outdated and bit run down. It could definitely use some make over for the cost.

We spent 10 nights here and had a fabulous time . Our room was upgraded on our arrival from a deluxe sea view double room to a sea view double suite which was much roomier with magnificent views of the bay. We enjoyed the variety and quality of all our meals on the HB Basis in all of the restaurants. We did pay extra for a Greek themed night which although expensive was fun. We spent the majority of our time around the pool with beautiful sea views across the bay. Special thanks to the pool supervisor who ensured we had the same sunbeds during our stay. All drinks were expensive including the non-alcohol ones. We had a restaurant booking problem on our last night at the Blue Lagoon Restaurant but this was very quickly and professionally resolved by 'Marianna' who was the restaurant manager. She also manages the buffet breakfast and works extremely hard, was always cheerful and willing to help - a real credit to the hotel. TOP TIP: Always confirm your room number has been taken correctly when making restaurant bookings.

We recently stayed at this resort, and overall, it was a great experience. The property is absolutely stunning, with lush landscapes and well-maintained grounds. The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome throughout our stay, and the food was delicious with plenty of options to choose from. However, we stayed in the Family Villa with a Private Pool, and unfortunately, the room and furniture were quite outdated. While the private pool was a nice touch, the villa itself could use some major renovations. The decor felt old, and certain pieces of furniture were worn out, which took away from the overall luxury experience. If you’re planning to stay here, I would highly recommend booking one of the newer rooms or villas. The resort has a lot to offer, but the older accommodations, like the Family Villa, are in need of an update.
