While all Dream Hotels are drop-dead gorgeous, Dream Downtown is a show-stopper. A bombshell. A knockout. A perfect 10. Our competition gets left in the dust every time and our (temporary) inhabitants live like they’ve only imagined they could… until now.

Pretty disappointed with my stay - expensive room, and they couldn't even include bar soap in the room, I had to buy my own at CVS. Seriously, will never forget that. In addition, the one garbage can in the room was the size of a soup can. Just weird. My friends stayed in a separate room and had an alarm go off every hour on the hour. For a top tier NYC hotel, didn't really seem like it.
Ordinary amenities such as a coffee maker, ice bucket and shower cap are lacking. Supposedly you call call the front desk for these items, but no where does it tell you, you can request a coffee maker. There is a top floor club that blasts the bass until 4 am so if you plan on sleeping, which is generally why one goes to a hotel, forget it!! Was given late check out needed because I hadn't slept, went down to buy cofee because there was not maker in the room, came back and the key no longer worked. The desk clerk failed to mention that I needed to stop by the front desk to have the key reactivated. For the exhorbitant price that I paid for the room, this was not the type of service I expected.
Stayed at the Dream this past weekend. The location is awesome. Across from Chelsea Market and attached to some of the nicest bars/restaurants in Chelsea. The lobby is super trendy and fun and check-in was quick. The rooms are outdated, especially the bathroom. The amenities in the room are minimal. We had a beautiful view on the top floor but were kept up all night from the DJ at the rooftop and unfortunately the sound machine in the room didn’t work. I’d stay again but only if I had to be in that area and received a better rate.
