I went for a couple days with my friend to Marrakech and staying at Demeures d’Orient Riad & Spa made our journey just magical so I felt that I had to write a review and to mention all the details that were add up carefully to the best imaginable stay in a Riad, also the staff was very friendly and helpful, I strongly recommend this place.🥰🥰

Great staff, great room, great common area, especially in the evening. Would highly recommend. We had a lovely stay. Dinner was delicious as well. Additionally, it's very close to everything. Highly recommend

My wife and I stayed here for four nights at the end of December 2022. We were very happy with our choice to do so, especially as this was our first time visiting Marrakech. The building, our rooms, and the staff and service were all excellent. We spent a lot of time just "hanging out" in the central garden area (where you take your meals as well)--we'd get back to the riad in the late afternoon and usually enjoyed some wine or Moroccan tea in the courtyard to "rest up" for our night out. Generally in the afternoon around that time there's very little activity so we welcomed the "down-time"!. The wait staff were great and very friendly. Almost everyone was multi-lingual, so if you only speak English you won't have a problem. We had breakfast in the courtyard every day--it's basic but good. We never ordered anything special for breakfast but I saw other guests do so, so if you want an omelette or something more substantial they'll make it for you. They do make an especially good Moroccan mint tea that we had every single time we sat in the courtyard. We also ate lunch there once and loved the Moroccan salads. We had dinner there as well once and really enjoyed it--the beef tagine was especially good. We stayed in one of the "Royal Suites" ("L'Invitation au voyage") and liked it. It was just off the courtyard on the main floor. It was spacious and had a nice bathroom. We only have minor complaints about the room--the bed was a little too firm for our tastes, and the shower didn't have a shelf in it so we had to put our soaps, etc. on the floor. And also because we accessed our room directly from the courtyard, on some evenings it did get a little loud (so you may want to request a room upstairs, which might help.). But these were little things--overall it was great. There is also a spa on site and we did a couples Hamam, which was amazing. Highly, highly recommend you get a Hamam while there. The experience and staff were wonderful. The location of the riad is good--it's on the northern end of the Medina so immediately around the riad and the surrounding streets it's not as busy/crazy as the rest of the Medina. Granted, it's still the Medina, but everything's relative. It was about a 20 minute walk for us to get to the main square (with wrong turns, of course). I'd recommend organizing transport to the Riad in advance before your trip into town. We didn't, and the cab driver dropped us off a few streets away. Now, it was only literally a two minute walk to the riad from where a lot of cabs will drop you off (or where you need to pick them up), but we were a little nerved up about it since we'd never experienced the Medina before. Turns our we were worried for nothing. We did arrange for a couple of taxis through the front desk during our stay and they will come up to the Riad's front door, no problem. Overall, we'd be happy to stay at the Demeures D'Orient again. Zoe (the owner) and her team were wonderful. We felt like family for a few days!
