Having read other reviews along a similar theme to our experience (dating back a significant amount of time) it would appear the hotel have been made aware of the 'room issues' but appear to be doing nothing to rectify the matter, only platitudes on this forum... Our bedroom was sub-standard (at best) thread bear & dirty carpets, chairs with several unsightly stains, curtains with holes in, layers of dust on furniture, wall paper peeling off, broken lampshade, several marks on walls. These rooms are a disgrace to any hotel 3-star hotel, let alone one claiming 5-star & I am very surprised the Corinthia brand would accept such low standards!
Beautiful spacious clean hotel. It is a vast space but does not really feel crowded. Spa is gorgeous, lots of facilties and staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms are nicely furnished if a little soulless. Bathroom very very nice with lost of toiletries. Breakfast is good but quite busy, travelling solo I was a bit worried I would get up, leaving my table unattended someone else would sit at it.. Staff attentive but not intrusive, shame the bistro was still closed when I visited. Overall great value
DO NOT STAY HERE. This is absolutely not a 5 star hotel. It’s nothing like the Corinthia in London and should not be associated with the brand. We had many issues during our stay but the main one was the room temperature. Our room was consistently 25 degrees Celsius making it unbearable for spending time there and sleeping. I visited reception 3 times to ask for it to be fixed and I also called reception on the phone another 3 times asking the same thing. They repeatedly said they would send maintenance to fix the issue but it was never fixed. We couldn’t sleep and it really ruined our trip to Budapest. I would urge others to stay anywhere else. The Ritz, Marriot and Kempinski all have much better locations and looks a lot more like 5 star hotels. I’m sincerely disappointed with my choice and wasted money.
