Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa

We had a fantastic stay in February (uk half term). Booked with BA, and the hotel provided transfer from the airport - no more than 5 minutes, fantastic. Reception really welcoming and helpful on arrival, and helped us with our bags to our rooms. Everything was brilliant. Hotel and grounds were lovely, very clean and very well kept. Bar staff all great, and made really nice tasting cocktails. The mini water park was good fun for the kids. The food was delicious, service always brilliant (yes at breakfast they often forgot table service, but so what, it's a buffet restaurant, happy to get my own). The a la carte's were brilliant, so tasty (although don't really understand why I had to wear trousers and not smart shorts). We were lucky enough to have 3 outside gala dinners (carribean, super bowl, valentines country and western) - which they had that on every night. We always had lunch from flipflops (kids) and the jerktree house - which in my view, is one of the best lunches you can get! Thank you to all the excursion team who organised a fantastic land and sea, and zip wire. Both trips were unforgettable, fantastic memories. We only gave this 4 out of 5 stars though, because of the room - it was clean, comfortable but quite tired and needed a refresh, the air con was also very very noisy, especially at night. Similar for the bathroom, clean and functional, but needs modernising. For those that are interested, the sports bar showed nearly every premier league game. Pools were great (but a bit cold because of the wind), but a quick dip in the hot tub sorted that out. Overall, a fantastic holiday, would highly recommend. Thank you!

I read all the reviews and elected Coconut Bay, based on all great comments about Location, Staff and Food. I was not disappointed. The easy of arrival from the airport was crazy! Now don't get me wrong; Immigration and Customs Suck. But that is expected traveling to a location outside your passport boarders. But in 4 minutes are are greeted with a Rum drink, Cool towel and SMILES. You are in your room before 90% of your fellow passengers even get 1/4 of the way to there location. Suck to be them. The front desk staff could not be more friendly. Keva, India, Sholanda, to mention a few. Restaurant Reservation are taken 1-2 days out which is normal in my book. I mean it takes 6 months to get into some restaurants in NYC and then the tell you what time is available. I heard guest complaining because the could not get a reservation, I stuck my neck and asked them if the restaurant was full? The said yes at 7:00pm which is when "WE" want to eat. I laughed and walked away. Staff is amazing, Dillon is a must visit, he will remember your drink and even have it ready before you arrive to the bar. Jedi, yes Jedi is a gem, he is hard working and ready with a smile. Don't miss out on Skeet, he is a server in the restaurants, and has the best attitude. I would recommend Coconut Bay to anyone. And my stay at Serenity next time. I walked through the resort with my wife, and felt miles away. Yes the Bathrooms are dated, but they are clean, and who is living in the bathroom anyway, you are in Paradise. I will say, I did not see seaweed that is always a hot topic on various sites. I know it is out there, because ALL Caribbean Islands have it, so if you base your experience on that alone, get over it. We will be back!!

Food was great. Staff was helpful. Bartenders were so good! Never waited long for anything. Nightly entertainment always had a good turn out. I will say more lounge chairs needed for the adult pool areas. All the pools were always clean.
