We had a wonderful experience at the Coco Bodu Hithi watervilla, the view from our bedroom was really breathtaking and the room itself was amazing. Also our host Taraka had made our stay even more pleasant. She helped us with all our last minute requests and also arranged a beautiful sea side private dinner, which we enjoyed the most. Thank you Taraka 😊
Coco Bodu Hithi had ruined us for holidays. An hour on the island and I already didn’t want to leave. We had a beach villa, and for us it was the right choice. Lots of space, airy and well appointed with the choice of the beach at one end or our own pool at the other - mostly we sat beach side throughout the day and sat by the pool in the evening after dinner with a drink, stepping in to cool off when needed. With the foliage between the villas it felt very private and other than seeing people snorkelling we could go hours without seeing anyone - absolute bliss. Special shout-out to Emon who looked after us in the villa - a friendly, helpful man who went above and beyond and also left us some beautiful bed decorations to see when we came back from dinner. We planned to try the different restaurants however the array, and quality, of the food provided in Air saw us eating there everyday (bar a fab panini in Latitude whilst waiting to depart). We loved how the buffet was so multicultural, catering for all dietary needs. It was clear the food was fresh and we’ve never tasted tuna like it - amazing! If you have a sweet tooth you’re well catered for with the pastries, desserts and cakes - also the tastiest, freshest salads and fresh fruit are available too. Special mention to Javdah who looked after us all week and to one of the hosts Mahdu. To be honest most of the team we came into contact with were brilliant, but they both added a little something extra to our holiday along with Emon. My partner and I had massages at the Spa, both agreeing they were the best we’d ever had. The Spa looks out in the water and it lends to the experience. All the therapists we met were friendly, professional and clearly good at their jobs. There’s plenty to do if you want to - lots of water sports, there’s tennis too, a gym at the Spa. We spent our time snorkelling and absorbing the peace and quiet whilst reading and enjoying the mini bar. On our last night we went on a dolphin cruise - we weren’t disappointed. So many memories made - especially George the needy Love Bird, the bacon-pinching Herons; eating dinner with stingrays and sharks a few feet away - all amazing, but the island and team with their happy, smiling faces is what made this holiday for us. Thank you Coco Bodu Hithi
We have just returned from our stay at Coco Bodu Hithi a few days back, and we’re still reliving the wonderful time we had there. The island itself isn’t big, but has plenty to offer! Despite being full to capacity we hardly ever felt it that way - only seen people at breakfast and dinner, and daytime it mostly felt like we are peacefully on our own, with an odd snorkeler or two going past our Escape water Villa. Different entertainment every night - from bingo to karaoke, traditional dances and cinema under the starts, there’s something for everyone! The food was excellent, each night the Air restaurant had buffet of different style, so the dining was never monotonous. Hassan at Air provided exceptional service, always greeting us with a smile! The house reef just off the water villas was beautiful, we kept wanting to return to water multiple times during the day as so many different fishes to be seen, as well as rays, nurse sharks and blacktips. The Watersports menu had plenty to offer - the 90min private jet ski tour with instructor brought us close up with the Manta rays and turtles, what a thing to experience while snorkeling, totally breathtaking! Zidan from Watersports was everything you could ask for - his knowledge of the area and calm demeanor reassured us we were well looked after while our on our tour! If you have a chance - go kayaking around the island in the glass bottom kayak, lovely time exploring the waters around the island. We had the chance to see for ourselves what Spa has to offer - the therapists have expertly relieved the leg muscle pain with a deep tissue massage for my husband which helped recovery after just having run a marathon a few days prior. The head-shoulders-back massage I have picked was very relaxing and helped with the tightness I had in the neck area. Our host - Misbah - such a lovely, warm and welcoming person! Could not have thanked him enough for making sure we felt welcome and everything was to our liking. If something was amiss in our Villa (let’s say pool water level going down because of the winds, etc), he made sure everything was done in timely manner. We had a pleasure of meeting the General Manager, Mr Mario - a man of exceptional kindness! He would always take a moment to walk up to guests, at breakfast or dinner, have a chat, wish a lovely day! Quite a few interesting chats we had, which further showed his incredible wisdom and insight. Couldn’t recommend Coco Bodu Hithi enough, and we’ll surely be returning there soon! Biggest thanks to Mr Mario and the team! Ruta & Mustapha
