*Sorry for the delay* wow…where to begin. We both booked this in January this year as a holiday to reward ourselves after covid. We then decided that we wanted to get married there because where better. We have never been to the Maldives but heard nothing but good things. From the moment we arrived on the speedboat from the airport we were greeted by the amazing staff and made to feel like celebrities. We had our own personal host (Reema) who made the whole experience feel luxury. Her attentiveness and friendly whilst professional manner blew us away. Nothing was an issue and she made our stay feel like a home from home. From the outset, she planned out our excursions and hotel experiences without any hassle and allowed us to still have our own experience in our own time. The resort was stunning and you could see white sandy beaches, the gorgeous Indian Ocean and palm trees on the island. We stayed in the Coco Residence, which I would advise doing even if just for a few nights of your stay, as we got access to Stars restaurant and bar for our breakfast and dinner and also little extras like daily fruit platter deliveries and discount on the Japanese restaurant which is not included in the all inclusive plan. The villa was huge and had complete privacy, we could snorkel from our own private swim platform and people often swam around the resort to see the amazing sealife which resides in the house coral. We saw sharks and sting rays and turtles as well as countless gorgeous fish. Food wise we aren’t that picky but do have high standards and I am pescatarian. We ate in both the buffet and the bookable restaurants and found there to be an excellent selection and choice for every diet in the buffet and both Stars and Aqua (the seafood restaurant) were excellent food and service. Our favourite by far was Tsuki the sushi restaurant. We also had spa treatments, which were done by very skilled and competent therapists and throughly enjoyable. The spa overlooks the sea and is truly tranquil. We visited Latitude Bar most days and sampled most of the cocktails on the menu. The staff there were amazing and they even set up the football for us one night, despite not planning to show it, they really can’t do enough for you. Our wedding day itself was really a day to remember. The staff went above and beyond and despite us not having friends and family with us, they made us feel very loved and looked after. Reema planned every detail perfectly and there was nothing more we could have wanted. The staff really are what make this resort. You expect the Maldives to have gorgeous scenery and weather and to be idyllic but what really made our stay above and beyond expectations was the people. Hussain our house attendant looked after our room like it was his own home, we always came back to bed designs or little extras which were a nice touch. Surat looked after us on both of our private dining experiences and was so friendly and chatty. All of the latitude bar staff work so hard to ensure you are always looked after and Reema, well what can we say about Reema… she absolutely made our stay!! All in all we would go back in a heartbeat. The beach dinners excursions and water sports are very expensive so you might want to take a decent amount of extra cash (even if all inclusive) to really splash out, or you could have just as good of a holiday without all the extras. Definitely upgrade to coco residence for a couple of nights (sunset side if possible), if your budget allows and get up to watch the sunrise at least once. We did and I’m so glad because it was stunning!
We came here for our honeymoon in Dubai. The beautiful scenery of the Maldives and the service of Cocoboduhiti made it the best honeymoon. and I would like to thank Butler reema in particular. Thanks to reema, it became the best honeymoon ever.
