Worst resort we have ever stayed in. Arrived at our townhouse to discover the hot tub lid was broken and polystyrene in the tub, dishwasher was so rusty your plates didn’t stand up in it. The hob buttons didn’t work, hardly any of the plug sockets worked in the townhouse, green algae all down the bathroom window. Our front door didn’t even lock. When we contacted Virgin they arrange for us to me moved but we asked to go and see the property the next door neighbour had all of their belongings out on the back garden making it look like a tip. Virgin moved us to another property which was slightly better but the hot tub had beer labels and bottle caps floating in it. So clearly wasn’t cleaned between guests, the carpets were dirty. We had to move to a three bedroom townhouse were as we paid for a four bed. Wouldn’t stay here again, only good thing about it, it wasn’t far from the theme parks.
Holly the bartender is absolutely great but she was all by herself the whole happy hour we felt bad for her. She was personable and got us our drinks asap and let us know she would get to us when there were people in front of us. She busted her ass the whole time. Please hire more people to help her.
We stayed at the hotel and got a 3/2 villa with hot tub from 11/09/2022 to 11/13/2022. Let’s keep in mind we are regulars and this was our sixth stay with this place. We came to celebrate our son who would be turning 7 on Thursday Nov 10th and to celebrate my wife and her bestfriend who are both combat veterans as the weekend falls on Veterans Day. The moment we walked in I was concerned with how dirty the stairs were as there were ants all over the kitchen counter. My mother informed me that the complimentary shampoos and soaps in the bathroom were half full and used. There were only 4 bath towels and our reservation was for 5 people. I scanned the code on sliding glass door that stated to scan for accommodations and services offered. One of the services were trash pick up to please call a number when trash is full so they can pick up for us. When I spoke to a front desk person., she sounded annoyed and bothered that I asked and told me that due to me booking through booking.com , they do not offer the same amenities or accommodations! That’s absurd to me. But that they would send someone one time only and if it was excessive garbage, to take it ourselves which I don’t even know what that means I mean we booked for a week/ 5 days. We complained about the cleanliness of the room and people were sent out to try and fix. I noticed a hole in the wall in the living room we quickly took picture as we did not want to be held responsible for it and called to report it. The guy stated he put a note about it. Later in that day, we called to request an extra blanket as my mother was too cold in the house and would be more comfortable with an additional one… I also asked if they were sure that the notated the hole in wall and the woman let me know there is no note and when did we see it ? I quickly let her know we have a picture from the moment we saw it when we came in and that I had already reported it hours prior and was upset they did not document it before. She states she now notated it AGAIN supposedly. As for the blanket, I had a male from front desk tell me he would have to ask his manager if we could get one and would be calling me back. When called back, I was told that per his Manager, they are denying my request for an extra blanket due to the room already having a blanket per room. That was absolutely low-class and disturbing to me that they would deny my request for a blanket… but I left it alone. The jacuzzi did not work and was empty. I was very annoyed due to it being the main reason we got this house was to use the jacuzzi. When I reported it, rep was again very short, unwelcoming and annoyed with me. They worked on jacuzzi for days and once it was “fixed” which was supposedly the NIGHT before our check out. We wouldn’t know because we were never given a courtesy call or notification that it had been fixed. The maintenance guy who was working on it informed us that this house was not properly inspected if not at all, because The Jacuzzi not working and being empty along with the dirtiness of the house should have been inspected before us checking in . I contacted the manager Saturday morning to give my concerns and complaints and they stated he would call me back in the morning to which he never did. So I left him a message “Jonathan” a voicemail directly on his extension and he never reached out to us. When I called again a supervisor by the name of “Christine” informed me that he never got back to me because he realized I booked through booking.com and couldn’t compensate us. Excuses were made and it’s terrible customer service all around that he did not follow up and the reasoning was terrible. I believe that if we are going to be treated differently for booking through a third-party website, then it should not be allowed to book anywhere else but directly through the hotel. If I had known that I was going to be treated of a lesser person because I decided to find somewhere that I could book through Differently, I would’ve never done it to save me the trouble and bad service. I also did not appreciate that I was not given any warning or information about the differences in service that I would be receiving when I checked in due to the fact that I booked through booking.com. Instead they embarrassed me over and over each call I made and always gave me the reasoning to be that because I booked through Booking.com those accommodations were not available to us. The situation overall was handled very poorly and we left very dissatisfied and felt like we were taken advantage of and paid way too much money for terrible service and honestly paid more than we should’ve given the jacuzzi was broken the entire stay. We will not be returning here and wanted to let people know so that they do not waste their time booking at a place like this!
