The magnificent modernist-style 4 star superior hotel Catalonia Ramblas is situated in the historical centre of Barcelona, near Las Ramblas and a few metres from Plaza Cataluña. It has 221 rooms. An emblematic building from the beginning of the 20th century, with its own personality and completely refurbished to modern-day standards. Its privileged location allows guests to enjoy the varied cultural and commercial options on offer in the city to the full. It also has a restaurant, swimming pool and 9 rooms for high-standing events.
The Catalonia Ramblas hotel is set in one of the buildings that were home to the offices of the newspaper La Vanguardia, in Pelai 28. A building designed by Josep Majó Ribas and built specifically as the Barcelona newspaper’s offices and headquarters. Opened in 1903, it is the only modernist-style building in the street.

My wife’s birthday, I had to find the perfect hotel. ( I looked at over 20 hotels in the area) this one I choose!!! From check in to check out staff were helpful, room was clean nice. Spa was great, ( make sure you book ) location was perfect, plenty coffee shop’s, restaurants, clothes shopping and more. You will not be disappointed.. only thing I had to look twice at was the price of the mini champagne bottle (18 euro) I wiped my eyes lol All In all this one was a great stay. Appreciate it

Very dissapointed with the hotel spa! We had booked a couple massage but when we arrived, we found out that someone else had lied about his identity and had taken our spot... Granted, it wasn't the Spa's fault. However, the young masseuse at the desk just laughed at the situation and told us to book another day!!! We had to insist for her to go to the massage room where her colleague, Eleonora, had started working on the "trespassor". Eleonora, much more professional, solved the problem, sent the "trespassor" home, and we finally qot our 1 hour massages, in a reduced version as they were closing... The 2 massages were not great, the towels had an unpleasant smell, and the music was too loud. Not a relaxing atmosphere to say the least! I would advise them to use essential oils on their towels, and to choose relaxing, soft New Age music instead of Spanish songs. The following day we found a lovely spa, the Born Studio on carrer de Roger de Lluria, near la Pedrera, which does amazing massages, as well as manicure and waxing. A true affordable gem! The Alegria Spa does have a small inside pool or rather a big jaccuzzi, and a steam room that you can use before or after your massage, but it does feel crowded and cavernous. We won't be back

It´s a very good hotel. But I had a bad experience, unfortunately. One day after I left Catalonia Ramblas, I noticed I had forgotten my e-book in the room. I sent a message to the hotel and they just ignored it. A few days later, I was again in Barcelona and went to the hotel. The employees said that my request shoud to be done by the same e-mail I had tried three times. They even laugh a little of my request. Well, they hadn´t done any effort to help me. Very sad.
