Welcome to Cape Grace. Situated on a private quay between Cape Town’s bustling V&A Waterfront and the tranquil yacht marina, there is no better position from where to soak in the natural beauty of our Mother City and the very essence of Cape Town living at its best.
Our elegant and warm atmosphere, evident in every fine detail, begins at the welcoming reception lounge and extends to our spacious harbour and mountain-facing rooms.
Stories of the Cape’s colourful past present themselves in our exquisite furniture, rare fabrics, intriguing artefacts and original antiques. Local paintings and sculptures lend a contemporary flair to our décor and feel, while fresh displays of Proteas that hint at the wonder of our natural botanical kingdom enrich each room.
We invite you to share in tailor-made experiences that include our sumptuous tasting menus, rare whisky pairings, luxurious spa treatments, and indulgent Afternoon Teas – all thoughtfully created to enhance your journey in the Cape and with us.

We stayed at the Cape Grace for 5 nights on vacation in a rooftop terrace room. Location is excellent being situated in the waterfront but on its own part of the marina so it’s perfectly in the middle of the action whilst being quiet and peaceful. The area is safe, full of shops and restaurants. The room type was brilliant. The terrace was the star of the stay - wonderful place to sit and watch the mountain, the boats or the sea lions. We were out there everyday. The only area for improvement is the decor - aims for a ‘heritage’ style but creeps into old fashioned. But it’s done with excellent quality. The bed was huge and comfortable. Breakfast is superb - always a warm and professional welcome, remembering your room and name after a couple of days which is difficult given the size of the hotel but they do it. Great selection of continental and cooked. Great service. The pool area is actually better to sit in than it looks. I wasn’t keen on the photos but it works well - Cape Town can be windy and it’s well sheltered. The beds are comfortable, the pool itself is the perfect temperature. One area they need to improve is service by the pool as it was highly variable. One day you have staff there all the time, water infused with cucumber or strawberries and easy to order drinks. The next you’re having to wander into the restaurant with your towel asking for some water (then negotiating getting it taken off your bill). The final and most important aspect of my stay - the service. Generally a superb service level everywhere. Check in by Lucky was excellent. The guys on the door are always there - I never even had to open the door! And I’ve watched them handle some ‘demanding’ guests well. The person managing cars coming in / out quickly recognised us and we would get through in a breeze. The restaurant staff were excellent and lots of them. Service was the highlight of my stay. In summary, superb service, wonderful views and the perfect location. Thank you for a wonderful stay! 401

Service, facilities and location were all great. There is a whiskey room in the hotel that is very much worth using, particularly in the evening. Breakfast buffet was well done. Comfort of rooms made each night easy to sleep, we had a view of Table Top Mtn. Luckily no table cloth while at the hotel.

A beautiful & stately hotel on the waterfront, right across the street from the Museum of Contemporary African Art & steps from some very fun shopping at the Watershed (small individual artists/makers ) along with a larger mall for anything you may have missed or need. The staff was incredibly welcoming & the food was fabulous.
