location, location, location
THE very very GOOD: You are right in the middle of everything, plus just walk across a one lane one way road and you have walking, bicycling, volleyball and the beach. I loved the selection of restaurants available. Turns out the hotel is also pet friendly. THE minor BAD: The front steps were a bit of a slog for an older person with luggage, but everyone helped out. If someone directly upstairs moves one of the large comfortable chairs around in their room you will definitely hear it as the floors are 12 inch or larger ceramic tile. THE very minor UGLY: The uneven small bathroom wall tile, but everything worked great in the bathroom and the room.

Our favorite hotel in Miami Beach
The Beacon Hotel South Beach is a very charming Art Deco hotel with a perfect location on Ocean Drive, close to the beach. Everything you need is on walking distance. The interior is romantic and cozy. The rooms are neat and the beds comfortable. Most important is the welcoming and friendly atmosphere. All staff are very friendly and you really feel like home. Thanks to the concierge Veronica we got a very nice room on the top floor with a beautiful view over the sea. She was also helpful when we planned the daily activities. This was our ninth stay at Beacon. Looking forward to the tenth!

Excellent
Very cool and eclectic boutique hotel with comfy beds and complimentary breakfast. Very warm and inviting staff. Only complaint is difficulty finding parking. Location is excellent, in the heart of South Beach !
