Family trip with number of people. Excellent transport from airport. Check in slow - slow to get bags to room. Room - mediocre with some flying bugs. Not worth the almost 2K per day. Nice that there was bottle water in refrigerator. Beach - nice, but insufficient umbrellas. Pools - nice, but if you didn't have a butler room and reserved cabana insufficient chairs and shade Food - average. Nothing outstanding. Best was pizza and ice cream. Illness -- child got hand foot and mouth disease about 4 days into stay; then spread to other family members. Assume got from pool that was not cleaned well. Beautiful Island, but hotel is short staffed and over priced and needs better cleaning/dinsinfecting. Will not return.

After a mixup in our room on day 1, we had a great time for the balance of our trip. Senior management including the general and hotel managers helped get the room problem fixed. The food was 5 star all the way. Staff from top to bottom were terrific ambassadors of the Beaches brand. The waterpark was a blast - even for a couple of 70 year old seniors. The waterpark could have used more tubes for the lazy river and waterslides, but when I mentioned it, I was told they had a supply chain problem that prevented more being available. The only other complaint was when I asked for a mask and snorkel at the water sports desk so that I could snorkel at the reef 1/4 mile down the beach, I was told, I could not take out flippers for that use. Mask and snorkel only. If I was going on one of their snorkel outings - flippers are available, but not just for beach use. I understand that providing an unlimited supply of different sized flippers is an inventory issue - but it is cheaper for them to provide the gear, than to have me wait and take their boat on a scheduled snorkel outing. Overall the trip was wonderful and we cannot wait until next year when we are heading back.

My wife and I brought our two daughters (10 and 7) to Beaches Turks & Caicos for our second visit. This is the first resort we've ever been to twice which is a testament to how much we enjoyed our first stay. This stay we splurged and got the Butler service room in the Italian Village. I cannot say enough good things about the value of the Butler service or our two world class butlers Romano and Wilnese. Thanks to them we didn't have a care in the world for our whole stay and my girls loved calling Romano on the butler phone to hear his trademark "It's Romaaaaano, your butler". By the end of the trip the girls insisted on making personalized thank you cards for both of them. Like any resort come day break there is a massive land grab at the pools and beaches for all the best chairs. Butler service lets you avoid all that - the night before you simply tell them where you'd like to setup the next day and they get it all set up for your day of relaxation. No worry about people tossing your magazine off a chair and stealing it. Plus you get a cooler full of beverages and food brought directly to you. Truely is the best way to enjoy any pool! Butlers will also reserve your dinner table at any restaurant. Particularly helpful since most restarants don't take reservations so you deal with wait times. With Wilnese on the case we just walked right into the restaurant of our choice and sat down. Through out the trip Romano and Wilnese would also leave snacks and treats in our room which were always well received after a day of swimming, sliding and sunning. They might have brought too many cookies though - I woke up one morning to find my 7 year old had been saving extra cookies near her bed and making them her breakfast before we woke up! Enough about the great butlers. How about the resort? There are plenty of pools for you to choose from whether you like a big party (Italian Village) or a little more laid back (French Village) and of course you can always hit the beautiful turquoise waters of the beach. Unlike many of the resorts we've stayed at in Mexico and Jamaica the beaches of Turks & Caicos are nearly seaweed free allowing for crystal clear waters and pristine white sand. The water was calm enough that the girls could swim on their own and they even took to snorkeling this trip. Pro Tip: there's a beautiful reef you can snorkel at just off the resort property. Overall it was a fantastic family trip and I'm sure we'll be booking again soon!
