Beaches Ocho Rios A Spa Golf & Waterpark Resort

AVOID Sandals and Beaches at all costs. They will bait and switch you time and time again. We booked directly with Sandals/Beaches for their Ocho Rios Resort, including (per their request) fights. DO NOT book flights with them. After booking, we were notified that our flight was changed to a time that would not work for us. When we called Beaches regarding this, the only option we had was to cancel our trip and receive a "travel credit" for the flights (no refund, despite this being stipulated in their cancellation policy at the time in Jun 2022 - the cancellation policy has since been updated). When I called back later to try and re-book flights, I was told that I would lose money since the updated flights end up being cheaper than the original flights. The original addition founds could not/would not be kept as a travel credit. Repeated call with Beaches resulted in no help, so now I have a travel credit for an airline that I HAVE to use before September 2023 that has to be equal to or more than my original flight to Jamaica, or I loss my money. AVOID booking directly with them

Our family had the most beautiful vacation at Beaches. The property is great and there are lots of activities but the people who work there are the absolute best. I recommend the concierge service, they will make you feel like the most important guest they have ever had and help with every whim. Our concierge planned a candlelight dinner on the dock for my husband and I and our waiter Bro Bro provided the most wonderful service. We took full advantage of the kids care and nanny services so we could have some time with our older son and alone as a couple. The concierge made sure we had the same nanny every time so we could build a relationship with her. Kerry was so loving with our kids as were the other kids care workers. Above all, I was most impressed with the genuine love for children from everyone who worked there. I’m not sure if it is a cultural thing or if it is part of the company values but I can’t count how many of the beaches staff members know my kids names and it was striking how many times someone from the staff would pick up my one year old and play with him or walk him in the stroller while we ate. All in all, I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this trip. Thank you to everyone on the beaches staff for showing us a magical time. <3

I give the staff five stars. From the moment we arrived Paul at the front made us all feel welcome. And every time we saw him he gave the biggest smile and asked how we were enjoying ourselves. (Not to be confused with Paul the bartender who was also excellent and attentive!) Nadia was also so helpful and friendly! Natalie with the excursions desk was so patient with our large, high maintenance family, so many kudos to her! TT with the events! TT MY GIRL! so friendly, outgoing, funny, and personable! I had the best time talking to her, she was knowledgeable about all the entertainment the resort had to offer and so friendly and kind! Thank you TT! 💕 The capitan of the glass bottom boat (I am so sorry I am forgetting his name :( it started with a K I believe?) was SO funny and a pleasure! He also took us on the snorkeling trip around the resort! Hillary in the spa! Best massage! Thank you! The gentleman who ran the water aerobics, and also does the personal training (didn't get his name but he is the tall, very athletic, handsome man, can't miss him) was great. Floyd, the photographer was a pleasure to work with, and again so patient with my large family. I wish I had made a list of every single employee's name that we interacted with because every single one was so wonderful. I cannot express enough how the STAFF made the experience worth having. They deserve all the props in the world. I meant to use their portal "the loop" to give credit to the staff but each time I tried I would get error messages ☹️ I would have left a review for the staff every single day I was on resort if I was able. Thanks again to all those who served us, you are so appreciated!
