Avalon Hotel

The Avalon Hotel is a little gem of a place. Lovely spacious room, we had a sea view and breakfast each morning was an added bonus! Food @Fishcalledavalon was great and the drinks (bit pricey) but you get what ya pay for! Even had waiter service to our room! It was right on the beach and you have free deck chairs and towels to go there! Room was cleaned everyday to perfection! Cost of staying for 5 night was also really reasonable! And to wake up to that sunrise each morning (apart from storm days!) was fantastic! Don’t stop doing what ya do! Cause you have it spot on! 😎😎 Oh and as my hubby was 50 and they left a lovely hamper for him too! See pics❤️

From arriving at the front desk we received nothing but smiles and friendliness…… We booked a beach view room and were not dissapointed. As a family of 4 we had 2 queen size beds and although not a lot of room for storage we managed with what we had no problem. We were a little worried about the noise from the street but this wasn’t an issue and we slept well on all 4 nights of our stay. We had breakfast included in our rate (juice, coffee, tea, cereal, toast, croissant, yogurt and melon) and this was great for us although some people may want more and there was lots of choice. We didn’t eat dinner in the hotel but did try a few cocktails during happy hour which were reasonably priced (by Miami standards) and really tasty. In the evening we were treated to live music on the front terrace, all very chilled and overall a great experience. Parking was super easy with a big multi-storey 2 minutes walk from the hotel and only $20 per 24 hours. It was clean and well lit so no worries there. This historic art deco hotel and its location was perfect for everything that we wanted to do during our stay in South beach……..we’ll be back for sure 😊

It’s hard to find a quiet hotel in the Art Deco district, but I didn’t hear any club music or drunks on the sidewalks from our room. The hotel was well decorated and clean, with a helpful and kind staff. The bathroom is pretty small, but that was the only down side, a small sacrifice for such a wonderful accommodation.
