I have to be very balanced in the review because there is little doubt that what you are paying for is the magical grounds and estate that the hotel sits in. These are absolutely stunning with aquatic life everywhere and wonderful views of nature and beaches. Rooms are good and well equipped but certainly not worth what we paid. Service in restaurant and bars was very variable from excellent and just terrible …. Little in between! When you got great service we certainly did not mind the service charge automatically added to every cost. However, when people just “did not care” the automatic service charge was a little gauling. Another big issue for us was that it seemed impossible to actually book a restaurant for dinner on the site. We tried multiple different ways (reservation call number, went to venue). After 3 nights of having to wait in line and almost “beg” for tables we just gave up and eat out in the evening (Comfort Suite restaurant 5-7 min walk away) We are glad we visited and loved the nature and wildlife but would never go back I hope this is a balanced because some people just love this place. We have no kids and I can see the appealing nature if you have kids to entertain because this is very well setup

Water, beach and food were amazing. Room was your typical hotel room. I would compare the room to a Holiday Inn. Maintenance issues, staff really slow to respond to any inquiry, thin walls - starting around 7 AM we could hear all the doors slamming, kids running up and down halls, etc. resort is soooo big - it’s a lot of walking to get to certain pools/experiences - too much for kiddos (8 & 10). Staff doesn’t help find your beach chairs, and it’s hard to find any free chairs with shade. No tiki huts on the beach. Of course not all inclusive so be prepared to spend quite a bit of food and beverage. We did $200 beverage credit and $500 food credit ahead of time and still paid quite a bit - this was for a family of 4. We only ate breakfast and dinner- never ate a lunch as we snacked on food we picked up from the local market on our way in. They give water bottles out and there are water filling stations outside around the property. But…if you need to buy a water it’s $4.50 pre tax!!!
