We stayed for 3 nights and found the location excellent, opposite Centraal Station and right in the heart of things. The reception staff were wonderful, extremely helpful and lots of fun. The decor was modern and interesting both in the main part of the hotel and on the accommodation floors. Our room was lovely, spacious, quiet and well equipped. We loved the blue tooth speaker styled like an old radio! The only thing we found odd about the room was the lighting - lots of choices as to how the lights could be set up including mood, full and reading, but we didn’t find a way to just have the bedside lights on without the overhead ones being on too. We had breakfast included and were a bit disappointed with both the hot food and service there. Having a tea/coffee station for self service would have made things easier as trying to get somebody to bring drinks wasn’t always easy. Overall though, a fabulous stay.

What a vibey hotel. Right in the centre of everything. Beautifully decorated, moody, and arty. Art gallery on site with an award winning restaurant. Rooms have everything you need and are quite roomy. Then there’s the staff…….never have I stayed in a hotel where the staff are so nice. Dressed casually and always with a friendly greeting. My glasses broke and the concierge found us some tools and lent us his desk to fix them. Even the maintenance man joined in. They are happy to mind your luggage after checkout so you can wander around until pickup time. I would most definitely stay again

Nice hotel, good location as a tourist, right near the station, and on the whole very friendly staff. I would describe as quite a casual hotel, so if you are comparing against other 4 stars like the Hoxton and the W, it probably isn’t going to quite meet expectations. Main pros - staff always friendly (mostly) and happy to give tips and help out. One person on our first day was really really helpful. Rooms are also a great size, and despite being a little older, felt clean and nice. There’s a pick and mix at the front - cute touch. Main cons - to use the spa, you have to walk through the main reception, either meaning you get changed down there (and there wasn’t a single working locker) or you walk through the lobby and restaurant in a bath robe and slippers - which seemed to be recommended. Felt awkward to me. The service in the restaurant and bar was very slow, noted that service isn’t necessarily of the culture in Amsterdam (it is all relaxed) but I feel you expect it to be different in a hotel. The shower door situation was weird and meant that water leaked round through into the toilet. When arriving you get asked if you want to forego housekeeping, to help the environment, and get a €10 voucher or bottle of wine - strong recommendation here is to just keep the housekeeping. Also worth noting if you like toiletries and things, it is basic here, with everything in refillable tubs on the wall and no added cute luxuries at all. The minibar was also basic, and free tea and coffee was very limited. The one poor customer experience I had was calling up when we got home one evening (admittedly late) to ask if there was any mint tea available, to which I got asked to check the bar. I said there was none and the person brought a tea up, but I think it was a chamomile, definitely not mint! On the whole, it is a cool, casual hotel. Few teething issues that I’m sure now won’t be fixed, so check if the spa location will bother you. I feel we would have had a better time if we kept the housekeeping as then we wouldn’t have had the voucher to find out how slow the service was, and also wouldn’t have had the issue with the water sitting on the floor in the toilet all day and night. If there were a good deal I would come again, but it would need to be competitively priced to the other trendy 4 stars from the big names in the city. The Marriott version in the W comes across as a much more high end version of this Radisson I’m afraid.
