Arctic City Hotel 

We booked this hotel for a long weekend for our very first time in Lapland. The hotel is located at the right place right in the centre and close by to amenities- short walking distance to the supermarket, restaurants and tour operators. The reception and waiters/waitresses staff was very polite, helpful and very professional. The room is comfortable and cosy with attention to details- very clean and I slept very well- can get a little bit too warm at night- but its not a complaint. There was a large selection of food for breakfast from cold food- selection of cold meats and cheeses, to fruits and hot meals including a large selection of pastries and the wonderful and very tasty cloudberry jam. The only negative thing personally for me- was the bathroom cubicle was a bit too small and there was not a lot of room to manouvre around and the drain was not good, which means the bathmat was always soaked when you come out of the shower. The second one was the opening hours of the sauna which is only from 7-9 pm for men- which is not exactly a good time- The hotel management ought to review that to ensure that guests can also enjoy the sauna at a more convenient time. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend this to family and friends.

Great hotel in a great location, slose to supermarket, restaurants and tour operators. The rooms are fine but the shower room is really small. I've never been in such a small shower. There really isn't room to move. There was quite a lot of road noise, probably not helped by there being a car rally, Staff were all very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great with everyting you could want. Good quality too. Quite dark in the breakfast room. I know it can be dark outside at 9am but the lighting is more suited to dinner (candles). The sauna was good but unfortunately only open 2hrs a day for men and two hrs a day for women. It would have been nice for it to be open longer.

Came to Lapland for 3 nights, booked with TUI and chose this hotel for its great reviews, central location, breakfast and the price. 4* hotel in the middle of Rovaniemi city centre. Had seen previous reviews about the size of the rooms and the noise from the streets below but these were not an issue at all. The room was perfect for the two of us, it was lovely and clean, cozy, lovely and warm and the bed was super comfortable and the shower pressure fantastic! Close to eateries (can recommend the Italian restaurant just across street!). We didn’t eat in the hotel however the breakfast was plentiful! The reception did the best hot chocolate also and the team on the reception desk were really friendly, helpful and took the time to say hello and ask how your day was. If I were to visit Rovaniemi again and want to stay in the city then I wouldn’t hesitate to book this hotel again. Cannot think of one negative remark to make.
