This hotel is in the perfect location for going to the famous museums in Amsterdam. It is very near the tram routes, and so it is easy to access anywhere in the city. Our room was large and very comfortable and quiet with good ac, and the breakfast offered was ample. The thing that most impressed us about the hotel, besides its comfort, was the elevated level of service. From the desk clerk to the doorman, everyone was incredibly helpful. The concierge, especially Sylvia, was always there to help us. Sylvia saved the day by booking train tickets and restaurants for us. This hotel will make you feel at home!

Check-in was great with Ahmad. He was personable, efficient and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Our room is comfy and clean. We have great natural light and are in a very central location near Vondel Park, museums, and a short walk to most other tourist sites. The street is quiet with a wonderful breeze.

Conveniently located to Museum Quarter and the Old City. The lobby was nice, with some fresh flowers. However, our room, though clean, looked tired, bathroom in particular showed wear and tear. The bathroom door was cracked, wood splinters falling off at the bottom. There was no mini bar and no closet. There were no coffee pods for the machine, we had to go get them from the reception desk. Water pressure in shower was somewhat weak. It was a shower-tub combo, with a strangely narrow, slippery, and deep tub. It was a quite literally a peril to enter/exit it. Also, the tub was only partially walled off, so water ended up on the floor, making the bathroom even more slippery. The room window had a "view" of a concrete wall, nothing else. The hotel building itself is somewhat gloomy. As for service, it took housekeeping until close to 6pm to clean the room, even though we were out from early morning. We returned to the room around 3pm to fetch an item, and it still wasn't cleaned, however when we tried to exit the room 5 minutes later there was a housekeeping cart blocking the door to our room (cleaning the room next door) and it took some effort to move it and exit. But apparently our room was not cleaned until a couple of hours later. Hotel restaurant: tried to get a quick bite at the hotel restaurant in late afternoon, but there was no one onsite - no food/drink to be had. The pantry next door to the restaurant was closed. Luckily, there is a supermarket a few minutes from the hotel, but this situation does not exactly show hospitality on the hotel's part. Finaly, perhaps this is a common thing in Amsterdam, but it was impossible to get a cab/Uber to go to the hotel's area in the morning. After some help from the staff, a private minivan eventually showed up - not sure if it was even a cab, but at that point we were already running late to the airport.
