The hotel is based on the sea front 2min to Sandy beach adults only. Food was good and all Staff were friendly and attentive. There is a bar directly opposite which has tribute acts trough the week. Hotel entertainment ends at 10pm then over to Charlie’s bar from 11pm. St Elulia is worth a visit by ferry or bus costs 1 euro 55

Currently on my last night of a week's stay. Restaurant clean and tidy. Food quite good although a bit repetitive. Bread was always fresh and sometimes still warm. Soups were the worst I've experienced in a hotel. Bar staff round the pool and on an evening are exceptional. We found young Laura to be so pleasant and always on the go running round replenishing everyones drinks. Young male waiter, sorry didn't catch his name was also like Laura a credit to the hotel. Entertainment hmm not great, not much else to say. Rooms most definitely not 4 star quality. Very basic. We had a view over the roof of the closed restaurant and into the building next-door. Never got one decent nights sleep. Doors constantly banging as you couldn't really close them without the bang. All room doors are ill fitting with a gap round allowing every noise to enter the room. Walls are paper thin, you could actually hear people in the room next-door struggling to use wall sockets but the best yet was the fact we could clearly hear our neighbours conversation as it came through the wall sockets next to the bed like a speaker. Definitely no privacy. Housekeeping left a lot to be desired. Came back to our room one evening to find the patio door wide open, no towels and the room half cleaned. Complained to reception and a housekeeper arrived with fresh towels, no explanation as to why our door had been left open. Housekeeper offered to clean our room but it wasn't a convenient time as we needed to get ready to go out. Got a phone call to apologise. Next night we came back to the room, as it was our last night it was obvious the cleaner thought a quick tidy would do, my 4 year old granddaughterwould have made up the bed better. No bath mat was left this time and as my husband has dementia this although a small issue to most is a big issue to us as he needs stability when stepping out of the shower. I complained to reception again but an hour and a half later still no bath mat so we had to use a towel. Oh but we did get a complimentary plate of chocolates to apologise for our inconveniences. Would I return to this hotel? I'm afraid not, standards are nowhere near the usual 4 star standards I am used to.

Check in was quick and things like restaurant times were explained. After getting to the room it looked like it hadn't been cleaned since the end of last season, the mirror above the sink basin was covered in water marks, the shower door was the same and also quite a lot of long black hairs were on the toilet floor. The mirror and door were cleaned after two days but it took the intervention of a TUI rep to get the toilet floor cleaned ,we did ask reception and also left a note in Spanish in the toilet but nothing was done about it. Being in a superior room there should have been bathrobes and slippers but we had to ask twice at reception before we got them. We also had to ask for a remote control for the TV as that was missing as well . The public areas in the hotel are really nice and the outside around the pools is great too. The room we stayed in was a superior sea view room which overlooks the small harbour which has beautiful views across the bay but be aware there is noise from Charlie's bar at the side, even when the music goes off you can get lots of loud voices which can go on into the early hours so if you prefer a quieter room go for a pool view. The room photos in holiday brochures make it look a lot better than what it is, no maintenance work has been done in the close season for example water damage to the wash basin worktop, shower door seals not big enough meaning water getting out and no touching up of the paint . We were half board, the breakfast selection was really good, pastries, cold buffet, cereals, fruit, yogurt's and cooked breakfast which could have been a bit hotter. The evening meals were poor, the cold buffet and desserts were fine but the cooked food was very repetitive and not very good quality and once again most of it was not hot enough. This was what other guests we spoke to said as well. People who had been coming to this hotel for years were saying there had been a big drop in quality from last year and it had not been as good since it changed from being the panorama hotel. When you are paying nearly three thousand pounds for a holiday in a four star hotel you expect a better quality environment and food, I can honestly say at the moment this hotel is no better than a three star hotel.
